"As we are finding it difficult to find good Chinese restaurants recently, we were recommended to try Tasty Asia Takeaway at Shortland. And we're happy we did. Old School Chinese Takeaway lives on at Tasty Asia! We ordered the $12 lunch specials including Honey Chicken (overflowing with chicken and fantastic flavour), Satay Chicken (Chinese style which is a little less peanut flavoured which was great) and Combination Garlic (my favourite which I will definitely get again). All of our meals were filling the container and heaps of protein (and not all sauce) in each dish. If you like old school Chinese Takeaway, give Tasty Asia a go. (Cash only too)."
"Best Chinese we've had since moving from Qld! And we've tried a few places, Prawn chips are perfect, Honey chicken is the BEST! So hot, crunchy and fresh, the lid didn't even fit on because there was so much in there! Can't fault the fried rice and Mongolian beef, yummy! Will definitely be back ☺️"
"This is the best Chinese takeaway around. Lovely couple who run the place are so accommodating. They go to so much trouble to care for their customers. Generous portions. Freebies on big orders and a special touch on special calendar days like Mother’s Day and Father's Day. I was dreaming about it during lockdown - do yourself a favour. You won’t regret it. Amazing."
