"I was requested to reschedule my appointment to the earlier spot as doctor had to leave after a certain time. I came and waited for 45 mins before again checking on the status of my appointment. That’s when I was told, there are 5 patients waiting before me. I rescheduled all my meetings to attend this appointment that you get once a month and Australian Eye Specialist staff expects us to take a leave and sit there for 2-3 hours on their mercy to attend the specialist appointment. All I got as an answer is the standard waiting time is 1 hours but due to circumstance, it can go beyond as 5 patients are waiting before me. How is this fair and transparent? I have hardly seen patients running late. If patients get late by 10 mins, we have to reschedule the appointment but doctors minimum waiting time is 1 hour. Why they don’t keep proper buffer period? Why we as patients need to be ok with this?"
