"Just a reminder for everyone: this store has a different change of mind policy to the website. They DO NOT accept change of mind return. Even though they charged me the wrong price in the first place and I hasn’t left the store, they said “I am lucky to have the refund today” as if it is not their mistake at all. The female manager is rude as hell and accused me of taking her picture (she said it happened to her before and I wonder why) when I was just checking the change of mind policy on House website. Save yourself the trouble and order online."

"Just walked in here 1 minute ago and heard some mumbling, turned and saw an employee and realised they must have just said hi to me so I mumbled back hi cos I was taken by surprise. As I walked into the shop she said loudly “it’s not that hard to say hello!” Mate that is not professional, it was a misunderstanding and I get it but keep those thoughts to yourself"

"28/10/22 Today my partner and I came in to purchase some homeware, as we met Michelle on Tuesday and she was REALLY lovely. We were in a rush that day and Michelle told me to come back when she was there to help pick some things out with me. (Don’t need help choosing, but wanted to support her/company as she made an impression on me) Now today, I asked for Michelle since I couldn’t see her and another woman let me know she was doing stocktake so she could serve us. I let her know I came to see Michelle as we got along great last time and she’d help me look for some items. The lady told me she was Michelle’s ‘manager’ and could help me do all the same things and started to get really intense. She started to get very forceful and made us feel so uncomfortable for coming in we left out of awkwardness. She was leaning into us, getting very close, consistently tapping on a box next to her like she was agitated, getting confrontational and definitely had a nasty tone. My partner insisted we leave because it was making her anxious and the lady just stood in front of us until we left. We wanted around Northland in disbelief, as the sole reason we went was to shop there. I ended up going back, as I didn’t want to leave empty handed and wanted a large number of items, although my partner was too anxious/uncomfortable to come in with me. I ended up buying half the items I wanted, as I just wanted to get out of there and forget about the whole interaction. Michelle was present when I came back, which is why I decided to go back in. It seemed as if the ‘manager’ has told her not to serve me, as Michele did help me get my items although was insistent in the ‘manager’ checking me out. This lady should probably have a lot more training in customer service, let alone be a manager of the store. I truely hope she doesn’t provide the same experience to other shoppers, as well as the other staff who work with her. I can’t ever describe how uncomfortable this whole situation was, I haven’t felt that mistreated in store my whole life. Not one to ever leave a review whether good or bad, but this situation really took me back and made me feel like I should make the company aware. This ‘manager’ should really be spoken to about this, let alone be in a position or power over others.."

"Great shop, and very friendly staff. They always seem to be having sales but the had some insane sales during the black Friday sales. The store was well presented and you could easily find the prices for each item which is very helpful. Lots of kitchen items to buy and too many tempting cake moulds like dinosaurs and unicorns."
