Welcome to HEENAN TAEKWONDO – PAKENHAM SCHOOL, located on Bald Hill Road in Pakenham, Australia. Established in 1999, our institution offers taekwondo classes for individuals of all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, we have the perfect class for you.

Led by our chief instructor, James Heenan, a highly experienced 5th Dan Black Belt in traditional Taekwondo and 3rd Dan Black Belt in Kukkiwon, our school is dedicated to providing the highest quality training. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Master Heenan possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in Taekwondo.

In 2020, we were thrilled to welcome Master Sung-ki Jeong to our team. With impressive credentials including a 6th Dan Black Belt in W.T.F. Taekwondo, 6th Dan Kickboxing, 6th Dan Black Belt in Hapkido, 6th Dan Jiujutsu, and 5th Dan Black Belt in Yong Mong Do, Master Jeong brings a new level of skill and experience to our organization. Notably, he also served as the Captain of the Korean National Taekwondo Team.

Taekwondo, which translates to 'the way of the hand and foot', is a popular martial art that emphasizes kicking and striking techniques. Originating from Korea, it incorporates elements from various other martial arts styles such as Subak, Taekkyeon, and Okinawan karate. Beyond physical fitness, taekwondo also instills moral discipline, respect for authority, and self-defense skills, making it an ideal after-school activity for children and a great option for individuals seeking a weapon-free means of protection.
