Welcome to Abbotsford Community Centre, a vibrant establishment located on the grounds of Abbotsford Public School in Australia. Our centre is a dynamic out of school hours and vacation care service that aims to provide a high-quality program for children to explore, thrive, and have fun!

At Abbotsford Community Centre, we are licensed to care for 150 children and maintain a 1:10 staff to child ratio, ensuring that each child receives the attention and support they need. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment where children can develop their social skills and make connections with their peers.

As an institution, we choose to acknowledge and respect the Wangal People of the Eora Nation as the true owners of the land on which we stand. We express our gratitude to the Elders, both past and present, who have been the custodians of the land where Abbotsford Community Centre is situated.

During term time, we open at 7am and offer breakfast until 8:15am. Our morning activities are designed to encourage social interaction and build relationships among the children. Afterward, we provide outdoor or indoor playtime before preparing the children to be taken to school by our dedicated Educators.

In the afternoon, from 3:00pm to 3:30pm, children are signed into our After School Care (ASC) program and served a nutritious afternoon tea prepared by our talented Centre Cook. From 3:45pm to 5pm, our program hour allows children to engage in various activities planned by our Educators and Educational Leader, including sports, cooking, and STEM projects. At 5pm, children enjoy another afternoon tea snack before engaging in self-directed play and learning until 6pm.

During New South Wales school holidays and pupil-free days, our Vacation Care program operates from 7am to 6:30pm. We follow similar morning and afternoon routines as term time, but with a mix of exciting incursions and excursions. Our dedicated staff are currently finalizing our Summer program, which will include detailed information on locations, transport, and staff to child ratios based on risk assessments.

At Abbotsford Community Centre, we prioritize the health and well-being of our children. Our dedicated kitchen staff prepare all meals, ensuring they are both healthy and delicious. Our menu integrates the children's opinions and balances food groups, and the weekly menu is available on our website for parents to view. We provide afternoon tea at 3pm and again at 5pm daily, always offering plates of fresh fruit and vegetables.
