"Had a tour of this wonderful centre recently. I found the environment warm and nurturing and could see that all the children were happy and settled. I was very impressed with how all the teachers in the rooms greeted me and spoke very lovingly to my child. I was also impressed with the diversity of cultures and that many of the staff speak another language aside from English. There is a high quality educational program in place which is essential for a child's learning and development. The centre director Jayne showed me around and I found her very knowledgeable and accommodating to all of my needs for my child. I have been to many other centres and can honestly say this is the only centre I have felt confident and secure that my child will be safe here."
"Education centres, whether that be schools, daycare or pre-school are the fundamental roots on which children thrive and grow. E&D Breakfast point is that strong, beautifully woven set of roots which houses the finest and warmest educators that one can hope for their child. Right from their secure, well lit and clean setting to their switched on and compassionate educators, we are thankful to them for having our kids there over the last few years. Both our children have gone through the rooms and have had the privilege of being welcomed and schooled by the finest set of educators we've come across. They say you only realise the true value of anything after it no longer exists in your life and this is true about E&D. We moved houses and had to take the gut wrenching decision of moving daycares too. E&D have spoilt us by setting themselves as the gold standard of early education and they are a class apart in the services and programs they offer. The focus on science, music, sport, culture is unparalleled and we'll miss everyone out there. Thank you for setting our kids up to be good humans. We love you guys! Warm regards and hugs, Dee and Ro"
"I toured Explore and Discover Breakfast Point last week on Thursday 6 October. I initially enquired with this centre because I was impressed with the activities shown in the photos they had uploaded on their social media page. Jayne, who is the director and co-owner of the centre, assisted with my enquiries and showed me around the facility. To date, I have toured nearly ten daycare centres/preschools in the area, and I have to say, this centre was the only place that I felt lacked the warm, inclusive and nurturing environment that I believe young children at this age particularly need. Listening to Jayne speak about her centre, I felt kids had to fit a certain mould to feel accepted or else they would feel as Jayne put it "isolated”. My daughter is currently three and speaks minimal English as we are trying to raise her bilingual. I have visited ten different community based/private centres and not one of them used some of the negative terms Jayne used in her language. Rather than trying to see how the centre could accomodate for the child or make their transition as smooth as possible, I felt there was more emphasis on the child being of a certain standard to fit in. Whilst I understand a good quality educational program is important for the child's learning development, I also think at this age, the child's social and mental wellbeing is of equal significance. Many of the other centres/ private preschools I visited spoke positively about how they had experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and needs, and how they could work with families to ensure a smooth transition. We were offered a position for next year which we decided not to go ahead with, as I left the centre feeling disappointed and let down that my daughter would probably not feel safe or included here."
"A very good place for our daughter. The centre is always clean and new activities are being set up for the kids every day. Periods are often themed and kids might be learning a lot about birds for example. The educators are very caring and attentive."
"Our 4.5yo son has been attending since he was only 7 months old. He has grown into a well behaved, considerate, curious, socially conscious little man. It's in no small part due to the care provided by the staff at E&D. He loves his teachers and always has great things to say about his school."
