"This was our first time visting barangaroo. As a group of four we canvassed the numerous restaurants though opted to dine at Anason. Initial impressions: A busy and cozy place. Service: We were greeted by an amazing waitress who was very knowledgable and helpful. We followed her recommendation in ordering the'Cauliflower, green harissa, almonds, leaves' and 'claypot manti'. Food: We ordered 3 x entrees and 3 x mains to share amongst ourselves. Verdict.... SUPERB, the entrees complimented the mains we ordered. The only thing that was missing was a sauce to compliment the lamb shoulder. To wash down our delicious meals, we tried Efes Pilsner and three glasses of Isabey Chardonnay. For Desert we tried the baklava and Künefe buffalo mozzarella and pistachio pastry. By far the Künefe was out of this world and is a must. Anason is a must for fans of high quality turkish food.Bon appetit"

"Always a winner, every time we visit Anason. The food and the service are impeccable, in a great spot overlooking Barangaroo, and that’s why we keep returning again and again. Perfect for a big family get-together, lunch with friends or a quiet meal for two (we’ve done all of the above), Anason never disappoints. The pomegranate chicken is an all-time favourite, as is the Tilba haloumi with honey. Thank you Anason!"

"My family and I had an absolutely fantastic lunch at Anason last week, and we cannot stop raving about our experience! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, thanks to the amazing team at Anason, especially Alp, the bartender, and Leticia, our server. Alp's mastery of mixology shone through as he expertly crafted a range of delightful cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal. His creative concoctions, along with his friendly banter, set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience. He attentively catered to each of our preferences, making our drinks even more special and personalized. Leticia's attentive and gracious service truly made our lunch memorable. Her knowledge of the menu and insightful suggestions allowed us to explore a diverse array of dishes, each one better than the last. She was patient with our questions, accommodating to our dietary preferences, and made sure we felt at ease throughout the meal. As for the food, it was an absolute feast for the senses! The House Baked Turkish Bread was the perfect start, and the Cauliflower and Lentil Kofte entrees were bursting with flavor. The mains were equally impressive - the Sardines on Toast and Grilled Octopus were fresh and perfectly cooked, while the Pomegranate Roasted Chicken and Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder were tender and packed with deliciousness. The highlight of our dessert experience was the Kunefe, which was simply divine. And we must mention the delightful Tilba Haloumi, a delightful and unique sweet treat that left us wanting more. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, providing the perfect backdrop for our family lunch. Alp and Leticia's exceptional service, combined with the outstanding culinary journey at Anason, made this lunch one to remember. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for our dining experience made us feel like treasured guests. "We enjoyed a delightful feast that offered a diverse array of dishes. The set menu proved to be a culinary delight, perfectly complemented by the accompanying wines. Opting for the feast menu was an excellent choice, as it introduced me to a variety of remarkable treats that I wouldn't have otherwise experienced. The initial selection consisted of delectable finger foods, all of which were outstanding. Personally, I was particularly fond of the halloumi it was served with hot honey which was delicious. Moving on, the focus shifted to vegetable-based dishes, and both of us were captivated by the flavor of the roasted cauliflower. The lamb was undeniably the star of the meal, cooked to perfection and beautifully complemented by the eggplant puree. I highly recommend trying the Turkish bread, which was served piping hot and wonderfully soft. Lastly, the dessert was simply brilliant Pistachio baklava. Additionally, while the dining experience was enjoyable overall, there is room for improvement in terms of service. Unfortunately, the host did not exhibit the right attitude. Despite having made a booking and specifically requesting the set menu, we were initially assigned a less desirable table location. When I expressed my desire for a different table, the host informed us that all other tables had already been booked, which seemed rather incongruous since we had also made a reservation. On the bright side, the waitstaff were friendly and pleasant. However, there was some delay in serving the wine, which could have been more prompt. Overall, the service aspect could benefit from some attention and refinement."
