About the Business
Welcome to Phoenix Central Park, an establishment and point of interest located at 37-49 O'Connor Street in Chippendale, Australia. At Phoenix Central Park, we pride ourselves on showcasing a diverse range of local and international talent across various genres of music.
One of the notable acts we feature is Papa M, led by David Pajo, who expertly creates both instrumental and vocal mood music. Pajo's mastery of the guitar, whether acoustic or electric, allows him to delve into the deepest emotions and darkest feelings.
A Broken Sail, drawing inspiration from the iconic Louisville sound of the 90s, has been making waves in the music scene since 2017. This talented group has gained recognition both domestically and internationally.
Nazar, a 28-year-old Angolan producer based in Europe, combines his Belgian upbringing with his Angolan roots to create a unique musical style he calls Rough Kuduro. His interpretation of this traditional Angolan music exposes the raw and sometimes harsh realities of his homeland.
From July 17th to August 31st, we have curated an exceptional lineup of local and international acts, including renowned artists like Actress from the UK, UNSANCTIFIED, Nazar from Angola and the UK, Hylander, Teether, Megan Alice Clune, and many more.
Be sure to catch exclusive performances from The Nest, featuring talented Phoenix alumni such as Teether, Arushi Jain, Budjerah, Keeley Forsyth, John Carroll Kirby, Bree van Reyk & Mick Turner, Babitha, MC Yallah & Debmaster, and more.

Reviews
"Phoenix is a state of the arts performance space show casing emerging talent."
"Beautifully designed space to listen to music. The entrance into the place is beautiful and the interior design is truly unique."
"Had the privilege of seeing Arushi Jain in a mesmerising performance of spiritual proportions. Beautiful space with acoustics pleasing to the ear. Appreciated the offer of mentos and earplugs from the team upon arrival. If you would like a seat, or are someone with accessibility preferences, be sure to arrive early by 20-30min before the start time. Otherwise the view from the wrap-around staircase is quite nice too :)"
"Tonight I took in Triptych by Phillip Adams BalletLab as part of Sydney WorldPride 2023. It’s an intimate five-person dance performance in the absolutely stunning surroundings of Phoenix Central Park. What a great venue for dance and music performances!"
"Monumental. What a visionary Judith Neilson is, and what a gift Phoenix is to Sydney. I feel like this is still one of Sydney's best kept secrets - but it should be known to the city. Make sure you check the Phoenix Central Park website regularly to enter a ballot for up to two (2) free tickets for a wide range of performances in a beautiful, contemporary space."
