About the Business
Welcome to Maybury Peace Park, located in the beautiful New South Wales region of Australia. Situated within the Cessnock City Council area, our park is a true gem, offering a serene and peaceful environment for visitors of all ages.
Covering approximately 24 per cent of the Cessnock Local Government Area, our park is part of the vast network of national parks, state forests, and bushland areas that make up this stunning region. These natural reserves are highly valued for their scenic beauty, ecological significance, cultural heritage, and aesthetic qualities.
Within the Cessnock City Council area, we are proud to maintain key bushland areas, such as Kitchener Poppethead Reserve, Hunter River Reserve at Greta, and the Bimbadeen Lookout at Mount View. These areas provide opportunities for visitors to connect with nature and enjoy the stunning landscapes that our region has to offer.
At Maybury Peace Park, we understand the importance of providing inclusive and accessible facilities for everyone. Our park features fun playground equipment suitable for kids of all ages and abilities. Some of our playgrounds are fully fenced, ensuring a safe environment for toddlers and young children to play and explore.
In addition to our playgrounds, we are also home to 54 parks, 42 of which contain playgrounds and additional facilities. These parks are not only great for leisurely walks and picnics but can also be hired for small gatherings or large corporate events. Whether you're planning a family get-together or a company outing, our parks provide the perfect setting for your event.
We take great pride in maintaining our parks and ensuring they are in top condition for all visitors to enjoy. Our dedicated team carries out scheduled maintenance works, including mowing, trimming, watering, pest and weed control, and litter removal. Playgrounds are inspected regularly, and any necessary repairs are promptly undertaken.
Here at Maybury Peace Park, we also understand the importance of accessibility and inclusivity. We are actively working to make our website and facilities accessible to all individuals, regardless of ability or technology. We welcome your feedback and suggestions as we continue to improve our services.
As we enjoy this beautiful park, we also acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Aboriginal people, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and future. We strive to create a harmonious environment that respects and celebrates the rich cultural heritage of our region.

"Excellent park for all ages. Bring your bike, scooters or just walk around the whole park on the circular track. Play equipment will entertain most ages up to 10 years and there are covered BBQ areas with plenty of seating all around. Parking is also off street and there are usually a few spot vacant."
