Covering approximately 24 per cent of the Cessnock Local Government Area, our park is part of the vast network of national parks, state forests, and bushland areas that make up this stunning region. These natural reserves are highly valued for their scenic beauty, ecological significance, cultural heritage, and aesthetic qualities.

Within the Cessnock City Council area, we are proud to maintain key bushland areas, such as Kitchener Poppethead Reserve, Hunter River Reserve at Greta, and the Bimbadeen Lookout at Mount View. These areas provide opportunities for visitors to connect with nature and enjoy the stunning landscapes that our region has to offer.

At Maybury Peace Park, we understand the importance of providing inclusive and accessible facilities for everyone. Our park features fun playground equipment suitable for kids of all ages and abilities. In addition to our playgrounds, we are also home to 54 parks, 42 of which contain playgrounds and additional facilities. We take great pride in maintaining our parks and ensuring they are in top condition for all visitors to enjoy. Our dedicated team carries out scheduled maintenance works, including mowing, trimming, watering, pest and weed control, and litter removal. Playgrounds are inspected regularly, and any necessary repairs are promptly undertaken.
