"Great food, generous portions & authentic Beijing Duck meals, soup was delicate and flavourful, no loud music ✅ and powder rooms spotless, iam giving 5 stars because i loved it and can’t remember last time i enjoyed such a feasting"
"Food was OK, not authentic Beijing duck, pancakes sticks together, charge $15 separately for duck bone soup which normally is free when you order duck set menu elsewhere. Sichuan chilly pork slice was horrible, don't think they know what this dish should taste like. Fried Beans are not bad. Price is definitely on the high end comparing to quality, Set is $88, meat dish is around 30-40 while vege dish is 25-35. What's even worse, they charge for everything, 30 cents for a plastic bag that goes with take away container on top of container charge , $3.50 for hot water. .. They probably will charge for breathing the air if it's legal. Service was pretty bad, hard to get attention from waiting staff, and even worse, they all looks and talks to you in a unhappy and grumpy way. We were there for 2 family members birthday celebration, left unimpressed and for sure will avoid in the future."
"A very good experience overall. It was not a very busy night, so the staff managed to service us as needed. Not sure what happens on a busy night. The canton food was great. High quality. The peking duck was healthy and crispy skins."
"Food was average but the service was poor and very expensive. We ordered beef crispy noodles, Chinese broccoli with garlic and Peking duck. All the food was tasty but there was no wow factor. The Peking duck had a slight unpleasant aftertaste. There was only 1 waiter walking the floor. He tried his best but spoken English was difficult. The female bar person was unfriendly and was stingy when we requested for plum sauce - she first refused and then gave us 1 teaspoon in a saucer for our table of 3. Our total meal came to $140 (Peking duck + noodle + veg + tea) which is expensive for Thornleigh. Btw, we took home the duck frame which they packed straight into a plastic bag and charged 30c…"
"Not as good as I first thought. The restaurant really needs to work on their service and food appearance. When we entered, we did not get any welcome at all and the waiter at the entrance just pointed at a table when we arrived with no verbal communication which was a little rude. The duck was poorly served. The duck was everywhere, not placed in an orderly fashion on the plate. The duck also wasn't smoky enough to be authentic. We also ordered a 螞蟻上樹 ant climb tree but when friend chewed it, there was a massive crack feeling maybe it was glass or something that was inside the dish. Prices were also not cheap for food quality received."
