"Horrible customer service! Was excited to try local restaurant for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner but turned out it was a nightmare. A waitress said we would get 50% off for special promotion if we order 2 courses each person. My boyfriend bought a wine from bottle shop as they only accept BYO. We were drinking and waitstaff came they cannot give us offer anymore as we don't have a booking. Then we said we wont order 2 courses as it might be too much for us. Then the staff said we have to. Got kicked out after all! What a joke."
"We had a horrible experience when we came here. Chef was so rude. He came out of the kitchen and told my grandpa to take his hat off. We thought he was just joking and laughed it off, but he demanded again that he take it off. Then he just walked away. We were all so confused and when we asked the waitress, she told us it was just impolite in French culture. Now that's understandable and yes, we weren't aware of this. However, if you want us to take off the hat, you can always ask politely and explain it to us. The food didn't taste great either and definitely not worth what we paid for."
"I don't often leave reviews and when I do, that's when you know I am not impressed. When we walked in, there was no one there. That was a sign for us that the restaurant is not that good. The waitress directed us to our table. When we arrived, there was some butter for the bread. She asked us if we wanted bread which we said yes to. We got 2 pieces of bread which was charged at $8 per person. Having the butter on the table was a way to upsell us. We had the Prawns & scallops cooked in bechamel which was nice. However, the mains came out and that was when we were really disappointed. We ordered 2 steaks that were tough, the green beans were overcooked and soggy, we got 3 small pieces of potatoes and half a carrot!!! HALF A CARROT!!! It costs about $2 to buy a bag of carrots at the supermarket. The worst of all was actually the 2 massive chipped edges on the plate. This restaurant claims to be fine dining but having 2 massive chips on your plate just makes your restaurant look cheap!!!! Also the food is no where near fine dining!!!! We quickly ate our meal and just wanted to get out of here. I told the waitress about the plate, which she said "I will let him know." No apologies or anything. Also, $10 for corkage when it's BYO and only 1 person was drinking out of the 2 of us is excessive. I am happy to pay for good food but not $140.00 for rubbish."
"Everything about this restaurant is superb - the authentically-French cuisine, the friendly and responsive service, the rich ambience! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and it is a rare achievement when everyone feels they ordered well for every course. There was not one entree, main and dessert dish we ordered that wasn't exquisitely delicious. The chef, Philippe, even emerged with my husband's dessert, singing a booming rendition of happy birthday which nearly knocked me off my chair! I strongly recommend booking your next dining out experience at Chez Pascal - you won't regret it."
"Went on a whim after a hard week and had the best dining experience. It's been a while since I've seen venison and frogs legs on the menu at French restaurant and I have been to quite a few so rhey were must orders for me. The food was divine but it was Philippe the chef that really made my night. An absolutely heart-warming place to dine and with a cosy familial feel. A new regular for sure."
