Willowdale Hotel 175 Barbula Road, Denham Court, New South Wales 2565

"Posting as a first timer with kids attending for a family lunch. Overall the venue looks and feels fantastic, the kids play area along with the sports bar section is great. What I don't like is the dishonesty of the staff and kitchen, we had a family lunch, all ordered at the same times same table, and everyone else food came out withing 20min, we are talking seafood based dishes, pizzas, chips and side. My partner, children and I waited for over 50min for simple salad, kids burgers and a parmigiana. I asked 3 seperate staff members and had to physically head to the kitchen where I was met with, a staff member who gave me the biggest dirty and said yep, we got it, just waiting for someone to serve it to you. The kids meals where poorly slapped together, the parmigiana was burnt, clearly quickly thrown under the grill, and the salad was not difficult. Now this doesn't come from a place of malice, this comes from previous experience in hospitality. I truly would have appreciated the honestly that they forgot our order. I would have preferd get the good quality food I had seem my family received, then the extremely horrible slapped together dishes we were presented with. Truly a subpar first experience."

"I have been twice now, one to watch women's world cup and the other for lunch with friends. The sports bar manager (I think he was manager) was so cool. Food was good. One bit of feedback I would give is they should serve the food and then give the patron the option of how much salt they want, which sauce they want etc. Glad this is nearby but gets very busy for dinner by the sounds of it."

"Overall experience was good.... Little bit of a confusion when getting seated, one of our meals ( we ordered 6) got gorgotten about....for a new place, these details matter. Nice selection of food though..staff were friendly and accommodating.. although there seemed shortage of hands.... Will certainly recommend though...."

"The venue itself is very modern, fresh and nicely set up. The food was decent and actually came out pretty quick. The rump and sirloin were perfectly cooked. The salmon texture was great but it was extremely bland in taste and quite sour. The schnitzel was surprisingly good (best we’ve had in a while actually) and the beer batter fries were equally great. The salt and pepper squid was a tad overdone but tasted ok, the bruschetta could be improved (maybe thicker slices of bread). The food ordering system really needs to be revamped as it was quite inconvenient and inefficient to be ordering food from one counter and drinks at the other. Service itself was very friendly and hospitable by all staff. It would be nice to have been told reservations are only for 2 hours, that would allow patrons to run to the counters and put through their orders. A QR table ordering system would be a highly efficient system especially when the venue is busy. Parking on the premise and underneath is quite decent. I feel that at the moment the venue is probably best for couples or smaller parties. We’ll be back soon and will hopefully update the score if things have improved."
