Aura on Flinders 7 Katherine Place, Melbourne, Victoria 3000

"Stayed here mid July with my infant. Firstly the original room wasn't in the best shape clean wise but I brushed it off as "you get what you pay for" but on day 2 of our stay I had to unplug the TV as my infant thought it looke like a good toy... and as I switched off the outlet it emitted a spark and and gave me a static shock... I immediately went down to ask to change rooms for concern of my child. I was greeted by a lady and wow I have never felt like such an inconvenience... no apology... just a "there's no rooms available till the afternoon"... I was being extremely polite and discreet about what had happened... she agreed to move my room later whilst we went to the aquarium...I was in shock from what happen but returned to my room to pack up... shortly after decided to return to the desk to ask for the manager... low and behold she was the manager! I let her know that she made me feel uncomfortable and I wasn't here for anything extra but I deserved an apology for what happened and how it's been handled so far... I got "I'm sorry I made you feel that way but it sounds like more of a you issue then how I treated you"... I am not a complainer but this infuriated me... I informed her that she had a duty of care to her clients and my concerns about the room were valid and required immediate attention... I was moved within the hour. Only gave it a 2 star as the second room was great and all other staff were great."

"It's a nice location, although the rooms need a proper clean. There were clumps of hair in the shower, the walls are scuffed, the tap for the sink is just a screw (I find that amusing though). Aside from that, my only gripe is the lack of ventilation. The air conditioner is only good for the living room, meaning one bedroom can be ventilated but the other one isn't at all. Had to buy a USB fan to at least get some airflow on my face. Having to carry two separate key fobs is annoying too. One for entry to the hotel/using the elevators, one for the room. Nice kitchen, shower pressure is nice. View is nice. If you get it on a deal, not a bad place to stay."

"My friend and I came for a little girls getaway weekend. Loved the hotel, clean, convenient and the staff were amazing!, would definitely recommend and will be back again, especially if you’re on a budget if is very affordable. Not to sure why this place gets bad reviews when really they are just using the hotel to sleep, thumbs up for Aura❤️❤️"

"We were not satisfied with our stay at the Aura, there was false advertisement we were supposed to get completely different rooms with city views and the rooms were not cleaned properly. There were marks and dust on the toilet counter and dinning table, and the dishes had food marks on them as well as the bed sheets, we found a cockroach on the bathroom floor. Do better mate..."

"I’m at solo business trip here in Melbourne in early June 2023. This serviced apartment offers an extraordinary experience for my stay. The location is great, 2 minutes walk from Skybus terminal. 1 min walk to supermarkets and convenient store. Not to mention one of some few good cafes ‘hardware society’ and kebabs nearby. There’s gym facility which is way better than some local franchised gym. There is no swimming pool though. The view is great , can take a glamorous view on the river. 10 min walk to south Melbourne market where there are many good cafes. Last but not least, reception runs 24/7. Staff there is helpful, special thanks to an Asian staff called Leon. He assisted me with booking with ample patience. I have decided to stay for weeks again later in late June/ early July 2023."
