The Pantry and Corkscrew Restaurant , Westport, County Mayo

"Spent 2 days in glorious Westport. Had received a tip from a friend to visit the Pantry for dinner and it didn't disappoint. We didn't book ahead of time (however, in busy times, I would recommend doing so as it is small and intimate enough inside). We were warmly welcomed and brought to our seats. Food was so good and reasonably priced, considering the quality. The service was attentive and friendly. We didn't feel rushed at all and really enjoyed the 3 courses and a nice red wine."

"This place is great, they always have some thing new and interesting and offer new twists on older traditional dishes, which they do exceptionally well. Its a the kind of place where everything on the menu is good. Also their pesto and bread is worth noting as well. We have eaten in a few places in westport but this one has come up on top, time and time again."

"A small place that's worth the detour and the booking to enjoy a nice dinner. The familial looking place is welcoming with very friendly staff. Most importantly the food is truly original and very tasty for both savoury plates and desserts. We very much enjoyed the well served mussels as starter, the lamb with its juice and mash, a show cooked pork (I think) that had a caramelized top, and the honeycomb ice cream. Enjoy ;-)"

"Came here on our first night in Westport and it was absolutely delicious! I had the mussels to start which were incredible and such a big portion! The beef short rib melted on your fork and was great as was the chicken dish. The staff were the right level of attentive and made you feel very welcome and relaxed. Would recommend this to everybody who likes freshly sourced fish and meat. Amazing value!"

"Absolutely delicious! For some reason, the location got my attention and I’m glad it did. The meal was so flavorful, comforting and best of all, the staff was lovely. Best of all, they had gluten free bread available and changed their bread plate for me. Wish I could have their freshly baked breads, they looked and smelled amazing."
