"We loved our stay in this hotel. Staff are very friendly. The room was on the smaller side but that didn't bother us. We loved the crunchy bar with the note "Thank crunchy it's Friday".... its the little things! We hasd a lovely meal in the bar. It's right in the center of Athlone so everything was in walking distance. We would stay here again"
"Did Not stay in hotel, but if the service in the bar / restaurant was anything to go by, it was shocking, we 4 are very thankful we didn't. Food ordered came out in part and then wrong, was sent back before touched, and still had not arrived back by time everyone was finished, so it was cancelled. The bill was brought over, and payment was asked for 4 times, although we were not even halfway down the drinks we ordered( which took 20 mins, and had to be asked for to be told that the Guinness had to settle, we are Irish, can't believe we didn't know this! Until spoken down to by the young waitress) anyway, long story short, we called the "manager " to try explain our feelings and try help and encourage better service going forward, who then claimed that we were discriminating against her because she works in hospitality. It's not at all fair on these staff that they have clearly not received good training or role modelling, and I don't believe that any of them are content or happy in their jobs, my sympathies are with them... But DO NOT go here to be treated with bad manners..."
"Lovely modern lively hotel. Good food and pleasant staff. Parking can be a bit of a problem."
