"I went to the Bailey recently to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had drinks and food, and, after studying the menu beforehand, as I normally like to do, I knew I was going to have the fish and chips. I asked the bar staff for a beer recommendation to pair with the food. Their suggestion of having Rockshore was spot on, as it went well with the meal. The chips were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and fluffy inside. The fried fish was almost perfect, hence the 4 stars (but frankly my score would be 4.8 stars) because the batter was slightly soggy, something that can easily be fixed by extending the cooking to an extra minute. Overall a pleasant experience and a commendation on the staff for going the extra mile making sure everybody was looked after."
"We went to Athlone for a 3day break with my wife and her family, I have been in recovery from cancer this year and we were so looking to a nice break after a very difficult year. We had researched places to eat and found The Bailey. The staff were amazing, very friendly and interactive with us, all 7of us. The food was amazing, hats off to the kitchen staff, the lovely girl who served our table and the two lads behind the bar. As per value, Baileys obviously never heard of "Rip Off Ireland" great food at a great price, a pint of smitwicks for less than a fiver. Well done Baileys, looking forward to seeing you all next year"
