Founded 29 years ago, our store is now run by the three McCarthy girls, who bring their passion for jewellery and commitment to customer satisfaction to every aspect of the business.

At McCarthy's Jewellery Shop, we are excited to introduce a new selection of colours and styles from the brilliant Irish company Rothlu. Their vibrant hues are the perfect complement to a more pared back and muted Autumn and Winter colour palette, allowing you to add a pop of colour to your outfits.

All Rothlu designs are made and designed by visual artist/maker Frances McGonigle in small bespoke quantities at their Ox Mountain studio in rural Mayo, Ireland. The beautiful patterns in their jewellery reflect the landscape and weather in this remote area, creating a unique connection to the Irish countryside.

What sets Rothlu jewellery apart is the added layer of surface pattern techniques used to achieve the exceptional one-off designs found in their textiles. Drawing inspiration from Balinese and Japanese traditions, they employ contemporary batik and shibori techniques to create super-lightweight, lusciously hued jewellery that is modern, unique, and beautiful.
