"Tl:dr: clunky ordering method, noticeable lack of staff, took way too long for what we ordered and cold potatoes. If you come here, eat the dessert if you can handle having to essentially chase wait staff to get an idea whereabouts the meal is and skip the rest. I was convinced to eat here by my mother who wanted to try the menu. When we got there, we fumbled with the ordering system for a solid 20 minutes. It is counterintuitive, you can't remove an item from the cart unless you scrap the entire order and if you accidentally pressed the back button (which is common in smartphones), you'd have to paste the link back into your browser and try again. Not fun and a massive hassle. Then when it came to waiting time, my mother had to go catch a waiter after 30 minutes of waiting. She informed us they were busy and that there was a wait. We got our meal 20 minutes later and immediately realised the mash was somewhere between lukewarm and cold at best. I sent back the mash after getting me and my mother to poke it to ascertain temperature and got a different one, a different mash got placed in front of me around 5, maybe 10 degrees hotter alongside gravy so I accepted it and ate it with the tuna and sweetcorn sandwich which was serviceable. My mother got the roast of the day and while her meat, mash and vegetables were hot, considering how thin the meat slices were and how they nuked the potatoes and vegetables, waiting 50 minutes for food is a travesty when the entire meal consisted of thin, easy to reheat meat, microwaved potatoes, vegetables, decent gravy and a sandwich. Okay, we ate the food, it took an age to get here. Then we sat waiting for 20 minutes while we waited to catch staff to ask for dessert. It got here in about 15 minutes and it was the best part of the meal. But what really got my head scratching was how the fudge cake was essentially twice as hot as the potatoes, fudge cake is meant to be eaten warm but not hot, potatoes are meant to be hot not lukewarm. The cheesecake was pretty alright but I was so tired at that point, I only ate a third. 100 plus minutes for two courses and some drinks is a travesty even if the kitchen is understaffed. I would have rather they had been honest about wait times so I could have had a choice to eat elsewhere. Desserts bump it up to 2 stars but I'm not eating here again."
"Social distancing and scanning on the phone to see menu and ordering."
