"Variety of coffee bean and staff were very helpful and discussed the coffee menu with me. The cakes are great and there is a great gluten free option. It is an adults only premises. Seating is outside and there is a wonderful scenic view."
"Positives: staff are 10/10, coffee is excellent. Negatives: outdoor area is grubby and the cost of the coffee is bordering on ridiculous. Prices are 4, 6,9 and 12€. I've had exceptional coffee in places and most I've paid is 5.50 in a 5 star resort with table service and it came with a biscuit. This coffee is genuinely excellent, but I've absolutely had the same or better in places. Yes the owner can charge what they like, and yes they can compare it to a wine list, but I don't buy it. I've no doubt the owner will say I didn't have to buy it and they're right. I'll never go again after this weekend despite going almost every Sunday for a couple of years. There isn't a coffee in Ireland worth these prices. I had a super coffee in Paris 2 weeks ago for 3€!"
"First things first, this is an ADULTS ONLY cafe, and you know what? To me that is freaking brilliant! There are no places other than a nightclub (that I can think of) that don't accept children. So, this is a great change, and kudos for the business for providing something different. Not just that but the coffee is fabulous, the view is lovely. I also bought beans and have since used them at home and they are great. I also was given the chance to get some taster beans to try different things to what I bought, they'll be sampled this week. Great work Old Barracks! I wish you were closer, and I'd visit more often."
"Beautiful coffee and cakes - this place is serious about coffee. Love it’s freshness. Great environment and views. People are very friendly and help you choose your coffee. They guided me to Brazil which was excellent. Loved the coffee tones it hit - it feels like a pub with fresh pints. The environment has a great vibe to it. They also have a small store, I wish they had some powdered coffee for me to take away. I’d happily go in again for a coffee. Lots of parking available and it’s not on the main road. Even the cakes were very good, so was the hot chocolate as well."
