"Beautiful place! Historical building and only a short walk to Trim Castle and the river walk"

"I was with Julianne for 3 nights as part of a walking tour. She kindly fed me 2 of those nights as the local and only pub was closed. Her genial husband Dave picked me up at the end of my walk and drove me home from the pub and to catch a bus the next day. They were terrific. Julianne took time to chat with me, discussing her life and the fraught politics of Ireland. The room was huge, comfortable and the en suite had a tub that would have been a delight to someone who was 7 feet tall."

"We enjoied our stay at Magouhy House very much! It is a cosy and authentic place in the heart of the Clare county, gorgeous countriside and fantastic landscapes. Landlords are incredibly hospitable! The landlady served us nice and generouse breakfast. We travelled without a car which would be rather difficult for a short stay, so the landlord kindly drove us to our destination point the next day, providing us a lot of interesting facts about the neighbourhood on our way. The house is kept in a traditional country style, with a huge amount of atmospheric details, books, leaflets for guests. We are grateful to the landlords for making our short visit so comfortable and a great memory! We hope to come back!"

"This is a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the Burren. Very close to Curran which has some spectacular views of the valley. The owners were so kind, making sure everything was looked after, and preparing a lovely dinner and breakfast. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time."

"A super stay at Magouhy House , Carran, in the heart of the Burren. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Spacious with en suite bathrooms. A delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Julianne and Dave were very welcoming and helpful along with Daisy, the dog. Very near to all places of interest to visit e.g. Doolin, Cliffs of Moher and other places in the Burren. Lovely outside seating area also. We wished we had had longer to stay. Will definitely plan to return."
