Reviews
"I would like to praise William on his exquisite review. Truly words have never touched my heart as he has, and my praise extends to this truly unique restaurant. P.S. Screw you Jack Holman!"
"I have no idea what these people mean when they say it is a terrible restaurant they have the best sea food this side of cork and a missive wait staff. This is easily the best sea food restaurant I've ever been to I highly recommend the escargot and fish cheeks. They also have a amazing blood pudding and deep fat fried eel. If you are looking for a delicious and filling meal with a friendly atmosphere."
"What a discriminatory establishment. Female students may wear skirts or trousers depending on how they feel comfortable dressing, whereas the option for male students to wear skirts is completely ignored. Never in my short life have I ever been so flabbergasted by such offensive, distasteful, abhorrent, abusive, annoying, embarrassing, horrible, irritating, objectionable, obnoxious, outrageous, reprehensible, repugnant, repulsive and shocking rules and regulations."
"UNBELIEVABLE!. They wouldn't take my order, didn't have a table for me and the place is full of annoying kids. They kept saying some nonsense about "Sir, this is a school" and "Sir, we're calling the police". Worst restaurant I have ever been to. Should be shut down!. UPDATE (25-Feb-16): On the morning of February 25th 2016, I met with the Principal and Deputy Principal of Schull Community College. Among other subjects we spoke of a Google “review” of Schull Community College I posted in the December of 2015. In the “review” I gave the school 1 star out of 5 and wrote the following, “UNBELIEVABLE!. They wouldn't take my order, didn't have a table for me and the place is full of annoying kids. They kept saying some nonsense about "Sir, this is a school" and "Sir, we're calling the police". Worst restaurant I have ever been to. Should be shut down!.”. Obviously this “review” is being facetious and is clearly intended as a joke. Indeed, it is difficult to see how anyone might take offence to it. However, when speaking to the Principal and Deputy Principal this morning it was demanded that I take the “review” down. This is an absurd demand for various reasons. Firstly, I was not the only person to post a “review” of this type. A friend of mine and fellow student (name withheld out of respect for their privacy) wrote a similar “review” that also criticized the school for being a “bad restaurant”. However, only I was asked to take my review down. This means one of two things. Either, they didn’t look at my review as if they did they would have seen his, or they did see his and decided only to ask me to take mine down. Secondly, this violates my right to freedom of speech. Article 40.6.1 of the Irish constitution states “You have a right to freely express your convictions and opinions.”. Freedom of speech is a basic human right and by being asked to take this “review” down I am being denied that right. Thirdly, this is censorship. We do not let film makers take down any 1-star review of their films. Why is this any different? Fourthly, this is flat out hypocritical. In C.S.P.E we learn of human rights (Including freedom of speech) and how we have them for a reason. In history we learn of Hitler and Mussolini and their propaganda and censorship of the media and how this was wrong. I shall leave the “review” up as I have as yet not received any legal reason as to why I should take it down. When/If I have been provided with a valid legal reason as to why I must take it down, I will comply."
"Turned up and immediately people started looking at me funny, I went up to someone who looked like they were a waiter and he said "sir, what are you doing here". I said that "I came here to eat" but he said it was a school or something, I don't know, I wasn't paying attention at the time, just because of how bad the service was, so I just left, didn't even eat there, because if that's the service I'd hate to see the food!"
