"Very good to deal with been going to him for yrs..."
"Had a serious issue with a leak in my 161 Ford focus, I had to return twice to get it sorted but sort it he did so I was happy, a bit pricy but in general I would recommend Mark and the team for perseverance alone."
"I've been taking my very old car (2006 reg!) to Paul for a couple of years now. I've found the pricing to be fair and there's always been a discussion first as to what work needs done as my car isn't worth investing in! Great service, I'd highly recommend!"
"Was charged €800 to replace timing chain in Volkswagen polo. Returned home to find the car still not working properly had to go back and was charged another €350. Very bad customer service when questioning the costs, asked me to leave. Car still didn’t work afterwards so went to a better mechanics to resolve the issue. Definitely wouldn’t recommend."
"I am appalled at the service provided by Mark Murphy Motors, My partner had some work he needed to have done to his car, . This wasn't the first time he had used Mark Murphy motors he had brought his car previously to get work done in November to solve an issue which initially cost 275.. the work done only lasted for 2 weeks and then the car started to have trouble with the same lights the Diesel particulate filter light kept coming on and the car continued to go into limp mode. When we rang to get the 'bigger job' done to the car 2 weeks ago we were quoted 804 euros. Which we agreed to pay for 6 glow plugs and to get the injectors resealed. This was fine. In addition he also wanted the passenger door to be fixed as it had to be opened via the inside , We questioned the price of 200 euros to get this job done, as i was beside my partner he said he didn't mind if it would just get the job done and his car back to scratch. Mark agreed, When my partner was on the phone to mark , Mark said the car was in perfect working order and he joked 'the only issue with the car was now was that it had 'so much power the front wheels were spinning too fast' My partner was elated and paid the 1004 euros immediately. The cable for the car door on the invoice was charged at 28 euros which leaves 172 euros the price of labor for this job .When we collected the car yesterday evening ,we went to test the car door it didn't work. My partner was so disappointed and felt like he had been scammed. He used my phone to contact the garage where they agreed to fix the door ,this morning he was upset he had to return once more to the garage, but happy that they agreed to fix the car quickly. On arrival there was 3 men in the store and they refused to work on his car because they said he was overly rude on the phone. I was gobsmacked! I had been there on the phone beside my partner when he had rung them he was not rude! yes he may have been annoyed but no more so then anyone else who had paid over 1004 euros for repairs which over 660 of that cost was labor. They offered him 70 euros as a refund. Which obviously admits responsibility for their faults, However it was 200 euros to fix that part! How is that fair ? to be at a loss of 130 euros, after in the last couple of months giving 1279 to a company ? This is outrageous, never mind the time taken out of work for both of our jobs this AM to bring the car to the garage , as the mechanic had said to bring it in to be refused service? to complete the work they never did! .Truly disgusted that people feel that they can take someones money, and not do the proper repairs !"
