"Bought a picture costing €287 in the Killarney store. Was made aware that if I returned it there would be a restocking fee of 20%. I was ok with this. Having brought home the picture I felt it didn't suit and returned the picture to the store. It was only then I was made aware that I would not get a refund but would get a credit note. I examined the receipt and this was stated on it. If I had known this in advance of paying I would not have purchased the product. Whilst the staff member I dealt with was very apologetic about my issue I will never deal with the store again."

"I contacted the Limerick branch (nearest to me) to enquire about a dining table that I was interested in ... James took my call and he could not have been more helpful, he went above and beyond to help me to understand the features of the table and the different colours available in it ... I was left with a very good impression of this company based on his delivery of the highest level of Customer Service. I would definitely recommend this company based on my experience."

"Brought an ottoman bed nearly a month ago and it got delivered 3 weeks ago. I paid for assembly and between not having all the parts and the bed being assembled incorrectly and the wrong parts installed and then breaking while the delivery man had just finished putting the bed together.. I am 3 weeks waiting for Cororans to take back the bed. I had contacted the tralee store twice and emailed and no one contacted me untill I emailed both the tralee and killarney store a week later. 3 weeks after first being delivered and Cororans have still not fixed, replaced or taken back the bed. Customer Service is absolutely shocking."

"Thank you for your reply. May I correct you on "discounts" on flooring. Your fitter had started to cut and lay the flooring when I came home to find it the wrong colour. He left it in place to keep the dust down until the correct order could be sent. Thinking this was now unusable for another customer and would go to landfill we offered to purchase it for a smaller room. We were offered a small discount on that piece of flooring. We paid the full price for the original flooring. There was no discount on that for the wait and inconvenience. My husband received an email a couple of days ago telling us arrangements will be made to collect their goods. I asked for Friday at the latest. We have heard nothing more and Friday is past. I now have to think what to do with the clutter blocking my hall as I need to move furniture for the carpet fitters. I really am at a loss. I am now despairing. I have asked Corcorans to please collect by Friday. We have carpet fitters arriving on Monday. Still no reply from them. I suppose taking legal advice on my rights as to disposing of the items will have, reluctantly, to be the next step. Moving house we thought Corcorans would be a good place to choose new flooring throughout, some furniture and a complete new bathroom. How wrong were we. After a long wait the first flooring arrived. It was the wrong colour. Another wait. Of the furniture ordered only one chair was in perfect condition. The dining table and chairs were not as finished as the showroom samples. Wood was rough in places and we had to lightly sand and polish to stop clothes snagging. The desk arrived flat packed. If we wanted flat packed we could have found it cheaper elsewhere. The delivery men reluctantly put it together until it broke. Another wait for a new desk which we asked to be put together and inspected. It arrived flat packed. As it was being put together by delivery men screws were stripped so we have done it ourselves. It’s still not perfect. The bathroom has been a disaster. An employee took us around the store to choose everything and I photographed it as we chose. We were assured that when our fitters could begin everything would be delivered in a day or two. Phoning to arrange this we couldn’t be given a delivery date for that week or the next but we could collect. In our seventies with just a car that was impossible. Fortunately our fitter agreed to collect from Killarney daily what he needed and could fit in his van. This meant us paying his fuel costs and extra work days. Corcorans eventually agreed to deliver all the large sanitary ware. Most of it was faulty or incorrect. The box on the toilet pan said it was the one ordered. The pan inside was very different. It didn’t fit the cistern which itself had all the wrong fittings and there was no toilet seat. We could do the two hour round trip to collect that, we were told. The pop up plug for the sink was the wrong one and didn’t fit. There were no fittings for the bath. The sink tap is not the one ordered and photographed and doesn’t suit the sink at all. We will remedy that elsewhere. Corcorans then said they were unable now to exchange the incorrect toilet pan and cistern for the ordered one and offered a refund so we could find one elsewhere. The refund took nearly a week. More expensive delay. All this added nearly an extra week to the work delaying our fitter’s next job and cost us several hundred euros in travel and labour cost. Adding insult to injury our hall is now cluttered with incorrect or faulty sanitary ware. We have phoned the store and contacted Keiran Corcoran asking for it to be collected. We’re too old to lift and transport it. We have had no reply from either. Corcorans has sucked out all the pleasure we should have had from renovating our new home. If you take just one piece of advice from this review please don’t let the delivery men leave until you have checked carefully that what is in a box is what you ordered and the furniture is of the quality and condition you saw in store."

"Good choice of everything! Put an eye on the garden furniture, but they didn't have it in stock. Later ordered online on Friday and it got delivered to Mallow on Monday. Absolutely delighted with speed, ease of transaction and quality of product."
