"June 2019 was our second stay at Brian's Cohb Holiday Home. We first enjoyed this incredible harbour-front accommodation in summer 2017, and simply HAD to schedule it again for our stay this summer. It has very much become our "home" in Cobh. Brian is friendly, extremely accommodating, and goes (far) above and beyond to provide and accommodate. The place is roomy, the beds are comfy (decent beds are a must!), and the amenities are all there. There is a TV, but who needed it when the view from the living room is stunning, looking out across the harbour to Spike Island and beyond. We normally live a very "land-locked" existence, so being right on the harbour, and able to see the ships (cruise, tanker/freighter, and naval vessels) coming in and out is exciting and apparently never gets old! The location is slightly off of the "downtown" core of Cohb, so it's comparatively quiet, and you can relax and take a break from the comings and goings of cruise-ship folks. However, you're still just a short, easy stroll to the bustle of the downtown, great local music at the pubs, and attractions such as The Cobh Heritage Centre. Highly Recommended."

"Must be one of the best apartments in Cobh. Located right on the edge of the waterfront. Imagine looking out large living room window directly out to Spike Island as the ships pass to and fro while the waters sparkle in the sunshine. This is no dream. It is for real! The location is quite and peaceful yet two minute walk to the centre of town. The apartment owner supplied every amenity, including items for the younger family. Our host was super friendly and helpful. I would high recommend."

"I had the most enjoyable and comfortable stay at Cobh Holiday Home for more than 2 weeks. The unit is ideally located in front of the harbor – far away from the noise of the town center but a convenient stroll to bistros, pubs, restaurants, shops, a couple of grocery stores, etc. The local train station is a 10 min. walk - hop in and you will be in Cork City within 23 min. The ornate, neo-gothic, St. Colman Cathedral on top of a hill is walkable. The house is well laid out and furnished with all amenities from big screen TV to washer/dryer. The vista from the bay window is spectacular with unobstructed view of the waters and Spike Island. Never a day goes by without an Irish navy boat, cruise ship, or barge, sailing through within waving distance. The maritime pilot boats are kept busy navigating vessels in and out of the harbor. It’s an amazing sight to watch and a perfect way to just chill out. The host was great and accommodating. He is sensitive to the fact that I am a senior traveling solo. He graciously offered a complimentary pick up upon arrival and departure from/to local train station. He was also kind enough to give me a thorough orientation to familiarize me with the town’s layout. It eased the stress out of being a first timer in Ireland. This is definitely a place I would stay again, a kind of host I want to deal with, and a picturesque town I will not hesitate to visit a 2nd time around. I had a memorable vacation. Thanks to the lovely town of Cobh and the friendly locals."
