"It was a lovely experience and a lovely view from guest house overlooking cobh Harbour."
"Breakfast cost extra but was supposed to have been included. We are very fit and walk to town was a minimum of 20 minutes to the edge of town and steep walk back is more like 30 minutes. Restaurant was no longer in business but still appeared on the website influencing our choice to stay there in the first place. What some may call cozy I would call cluttered and dusty. Room and bed were not very comfortable. Step UP to bathroom was close to 16 inches high. Our bathroom clearly adjoined walls with the bathroom in the room next door. One could hear everything….and I mean EVERYTHING that happened on their toilet and on their shower. The grounds were very little like the pictures on the website and basically not usable (no where to sit.) Finally, the host was trying to sell us raffle tickets to win the B&B which I found incredibly tacky and made us uncomfortable. No internet in rooms. Stay in town…same price and better access to what Cobh has to offer. (We seriously considered spending our second night in town…that’s how uncomfortable we were.)"
"Loved my stay here. Beautiful cooked breakfast in the morning and the bed was soooo comfortable! Staff were very friendly and helpful."
"We stayed in the cabin here and the first day thought it was great. Staff seemed lovely and accommodating and the breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. Cabin looked impressive from the outside but inside there was a stale smokey smell so we couldn't hang our clothes and had to leave them in our cases. No cleaners came in to change bed linen or clean during our stay. We had to get fresh towels ourselves from reception and they even smelt of smoke. Bed was hard and lumpy, slightly sloping to one side leading to an uncomfortable sleep which didn't do our backs any good either. No shortage of cobwebs either. We had paid for this booking with breakfast included but got charged extra for breakfasts on checkout. Also got charged for a deepclean after the dogs (another unexpected charge)even though no cleaners were in. One thing I thought very unprofessional was the fact that while in the shower before checking out they decided to come in with a cleaner passing a snide comment about the dirt of the place due to the fact there was a couple of dishes in the sink and a bag of rubbish (which of course they were meant to collect) in the corner which we would have sorted before leaving one way or the other"
"Lovely victorian style home. It is a 20 min walk to the town and the roads are quite steep. While the room was great, the bathroom spacious and the decorations really stylish, the 5 Eur extra for an egg and a strip or two of bacon seemed a bit excessive. I would have preferred to pay more for the room and not have to deal with extra charges like these for an egg and strip of bacon. There is a beauty and treatment facility, but most of the services are not currently offered."
