"Incredibly slow to hand out prescriptions, as if they need to source the ingredients from the Amazon rainforest directly every time - even relatively basic prescriptions. Quantities are often not available or just wrong, and this is for basic antibiotics/generics. It's as if they're surprised when an actual customer comes through the door - and I'm beginning to understand why."

"Terribly run pharmacy, so much so that after multiple issues when trying to collect my prescription I have finally given up and switched my family of 5 to a different pharmacy. I’ve received the wrong prescription, a prescription missing items, short tablets and on one occasion even somebody else’s prescription!! On two occasions now I have needed to leave, call my GP to resend a script that has “vanished”and the pharmacy has not received. I would ring to order my repeat prescription the day before in the hope it would be ready to collect but to no such luck unfortunately. I would still be told to come back in 20 minutes or longer. The counter staff and pharmacists are pleasant and apologetic however this begins to wear thin when there is an issue every single time. I would not recommend this pharmacy and I would advise the owners of Hickeys pharmacy to seriously reevaluate their management choices, as the current running of their pharmacy is highly unprofessional and nothing short of negligent."

"My repeat prescription was sent to Hickeys in Ballincollig last month by mistake.Had to go there last month to pick up medicine. I went to pick up my repeat prescription for blood pressure tablets today. Was told repeat prescription are only made up when ordered would have to come back later. I picked them up later and came home. I opened the pack now to realise that there is a note saying that I must come back to collect the remainder of my tablets. I am 11 short. This should of been told to me when I picked them up or even when I was there the first time and ordered them. Very poor service."

"Staff are very helpful and friendly. Hickeys is within castle west smart shopping centre. Great place to shop. Affordable. They have an app where you can order prescriptions through. Professional. They care about their customers. A wide variety of items sold such as cosmetics, tablets etc. They even have take passport photos here or photos from phones can be printed off the kiosk."
