"The English Market has a wide selection of high-quality goods, so you may discover a variety of ingredients to complete your dish. I was mesmerised by the incredibly fresh oysters we discovered in the fish store, which were also extremely reasonably priced."
"Named because traders could only do business here is if they swore allegiance to the English Crown, therefore many Irish refused to do so. A very bustling indoor marketplace with all local produce available for sale, and an upstairs seated cafe."
"Probably the top spot to visit when in Cork. Great atmosphere. Great selection of shops. Really pleasant vendors. Cafes weren't open due to restrictions so I might need to visit again when everything reopens!"
"Lovely market with cheeses, meats, bread, and more. I went around 2:30pm on a Monday and it was not too crowded. I recommend getting a vegan cake at the shop next to the fountain- the mocha one I had was delicious! Would not recommend getting produce here, though- had a bad experience with some dry oranges from the fruit and vegetable shop."
"What a gem in the heart of Cork City! It's so wonderful to buy local produce from the wonderful stalls inside. Everything looks delicious, so make sure you have a good few euros in your pocket if you're planning on visiting! I bought cheese, jams, bread, coffee, pudding, honey, and relishes from several of the stalls in there and all the sellers are so friendly and informative when you ask them about cooking instructions, how to store them, etc. You could browse there all day! I plan on taking the train back down for a few more visits this year, solely for this Market. Keep up the wonderful work!"
