Quay Pizza George's Quay, Cork, County Cork T12 KD37

"We had started eating here frequently as their family meal deals are excellent value, and usually good quality. Last night was so bad, I doubt I’ll return. €16.50 for a pizza with a sprinkle of sauce, hacked cut and sufficated in a thick layer of cheese to try and hide the lack of sauce. The cheese was lobbed on so thick, it came off the pizza when taking off a slice, leaving just a dough pizza. It was evidently thrown together quickly as it was on it’s way to us in less than 10 minutes, never a good sign at 1am. Also the dip I had paid €1:50 which would have hidden the taste of this monstrosity was not added, and they closed in such a rush that they never completed the delivery through the app meaning it was pending so I couldn’t contact in anyway until now. If this was once of the usual late night fast food outlets, you’d expect the speed and lack of substance, but this is a subsidiary of Café Velo. Its reputation usually stands for itself, but this really was a extremely poor effort for what would be considered a premium products."

"Deliveroo was decent enough to give a refund, for mouldy tasting food, but there is a lot of good pizza out there in Cork. To stay in business they need to be much better."

"Menu looked promising with a lot of diversity but eventually, pizza quality was below what you could expect when ordering a Pizza. Tried to give it another shot with pasta/risotto, but chef was apparently sick with nobody else able to cook these type of dishes present on the menu, we ordered some beers, present on the menu, but not available, fork and knives weren't clean and the organisation of the staff led to long wait for our order. Non native staff saying "can you speak english" when they can't align 3 words together, that's a bit rude."

"Avoid at all cost. Ordered 3 pizza last week, only two were delivered. The delivery guy did not have a clue on what we ordered, was unapologetic and refused to go back to get the missing pizza since he said he was “too busy”. Contacted Quay pizza to complain and ask for a refund for the missing pizza, they assured a refund was going to be issued but never arrived (after more than 10 days). I strongly recommend to not order anything from Quay pizza, you may very well not receive what you ordered and you will also lose the money."

"Ordered a Meal for 2 from their website for collection. After arriving there, I was told that they haven't started my order as they only do orders when a person arrives at the restaurant?? What kind of rule is that? After waiting 30 minutes to get my order, I was told that you only get one soft drink with the meal for 2 and upon looking online, it says 2 soft drinks. Everyone be ware of this place! I will never order again."
