"I visited The Black market today for the first time and was impressed with the setup. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and returned it immediately as it was so sloppy all the toppings fell completely off every slice when you try to pick it up just leaving the soggy dough in your hand. The staff were suggesting I didn’t know how to eat the pizza and even showed me with attitude that I had to fold the pizza slice up into a kinda 4 way parcel like a Jambon pastry, I couldn’t believe what the guy was showing me, absolutely ridiculous. Even then it was a sloppy mess! They were reluctantly offering to cook it again whilst still insisting it was perfectly cooked. I asked for a refund because of this and then went over to the Marina market to Oak Fire pizza where I was giving a beautifully cooked pizza. I eat pizza at all of the markets around the city and have eaten in Burnt pizza in town also. The standards of this pizza were awful and the staff were not open to hearing the feedback. I will not return here for a pizza ever again!"
"Was introdruced to BURNT in Corks Black Market by a great friend of mine on a trip down to Cork a couple of days ago. Thoroughly enjoyed the Bruschetta with mozzarella, garlic, basil and baby tomatoes. Cooked just as I like it, crispy but still doughy. Fresh food and fast service. Couldnt ask for more! Definitely worth a visit for a quick and tasty meal! P.S ~ Thank you to the member of staff who kindly taught me the correct pronunciation of Bruschetta (sorry for crucifying the word in the first place) made me laugh and made my day!"
"Very disappointed with the pizza I had at burnt in the black market. Dough was tasteless and sloppy. Cheese was thick, greasy and heavy. Toppings were what seemed to be pre- cooked soggy mushrooms. As soon as you pick up a slice everything slides off and you’re left with a mess. Some suggestions to improve: Proof your dough for longer to improve taste. Less is more in terms of toppings. It shouldn’t be over loaded. In the case of the mushrooms cut em nice and thin otherwise they’ll be all soggy like I had them. Find a better cheese. The one you’re using is too much like a greasy cheddar and adds too much weight to the slice. Need more of a real mozzarella. You want it to be light when doing a sour dough. I hope this helps as you have a good setup so there should be no reason why you can’t be putting out fantastic pizza again and again."
"Absolutely horrible. I usually love burnt but just had a pizza in the marina Market and I was very disappointed. It was very soggy, all the toppings were dripping off the pizza ate about 2 slices and had to throw the rest away."
"BURNT pizza is fabulous. They needed this location for a long time. Take away and pickup. It is great to see the change and improvement to the marina. It is wheelchair accessible. There is plenty of wheelchair parking at the market. #accessible #family #italianrestaurant"
