"We had a mixed experience at this restaurant. Despite having booked a month in advance we were seated at the "dud" table in the restaurant which was wedged between a storage cupboard and a table filled with cutlery and napkins, slightly secluded from the rest of the diners. This affected the atmosphere for us, since the rest of the restaurant was beautiful, and we were out for date night rather than a quick meal. We had the garlic mushrooms for the starter which my partner loved, but didn't suit my own palate. For our main we had the trio of pastas (Tris Rossini) and a pepperoni pizza. While the pasta was delicious (especially the carbonara which was incredible, I wish I had ordered a whole bowl of it!) the pizza was exceptionally oily. We ate most of the pizza as it was still edible and it tasted alright, but the oiliness affected our stomachs. For dessert we had the fresh fruit meringue and the crème brulee. The crème brulee was good and it came with a scoop of chocolate ice-cream and some biscuit crumbs which was a nice touch! The meringue was also delicious with lovely fruit and lots of cream! We were warned by the waiter that it was a big portion and he wasn't kidding! But it was still great, even though we couldn't finish it between us. The cocktails here are lovely. All in all, the only issues were the seating and the pepperoni pizza which neither my partner nor I enjoyed very much. I think, instead of placing an extra table in between working stations for extra custom, it would be nice if a holistic dining experience was prioritised for all customers. Our waiters were all exceptional and lovely. 3 stars for last night's dining experience."
"What a fantastic restaurant, been here before and visited last night after a few years and my word, what a feast. Manager and waiters are the best in Cork that I've had the privilege to meet, it even ended up in a sing song with Dean Martin songs which made an impeccable atmosphere. The food...well the food was the best I've ever had right on my own doorstep. Calamari rings for starters were divine, succulent and the batter was sooo crispy and for mains I had the seafood pasta which was absolutely gorgeous. Portions were huge which I love, quality and value for money. It was like going to dinner with family, bdont pass up this place, you will not be disappointed."
"Food was delicious, service was good, they did however forgotten to serve us our bbq wings that we ordered as starter so we cancelled it when the main came. The waiters made sure we didn’t get charged on the wings that didn’t arrive. Would definitely come here again to try out the steaks!"
"Absolutely delicious Italian grub! I had the lasagne & it was amazing. My partner had the fillet steak & it was cooked well but a bit underwhelming for him. His chips though! Yummy! I (we) had the tiramisu for dessert. If you only go for that you've won! A lovely evening & lovely family atmosphere."
"Best Italian spot in all of cork in my opinion. Truly Italian. Just go. And you really get what you pay for and more. I've never been in pain from eating until here. You only need a main and you'll be wobbling out. I had 3 courses woth my friend. Half pizza each(same price as a starter) I had the pasta, and my friend had lazagne then went half on the tirumasu. We nearly had to be stretchered out. Also they are very covid guideline strict. You must show id with the covid pass. But honestly worth every penny."
