"I took my 6 month old cockapoo puppy here on Xmas Eve for a puppy pamper. This was his 3rd and final puppy pamper. My 2 previous experiences were very positive my pup came out happy and wagging his tail and his groom looked great he had his hair cut away from his eyes, a bath and his nails clipped. Unfortunately his 3rd puppy pamper was very different. My pup did not come out wagging his tail and infact he didn't seem himself for 2 days after his groom he was very glum, not the usual bouncy happy puppy that I know which was upsetting. His hair had not been cut away from his eyes and he still has hair covering his eyes because of this. It just looks like he was given a bath which i understand most dogs don't like baths but for him to be still affected 2 days later concerns me. As I say the last 2 puppy pampers he had there had been no issues and he was very happy. Im extremely disappointed after paying £34 for basically just a bath. I also felt like me taking my puppy in for a groom on Christmas eve was an inconvenience to the staff. I was offered this appointment at his previous groom and did not expect to feel like my dog and I were an inconvenience. Again i appreciate no one wants to work Christmas eve but surely some customer service should be maintained. At no point when I collected my puppy after an hour was i told that maybe he was being a little difficult and so they couldn't do the full pamper. That of course i would understand."

"I took Betsy to Dogwood a little hesitantly, as she had been with her previous groomer for all her 7 years! I needn’t have worried as the staff were so friendly and professional and put us both at ease! They talked through how I liked her groomed and took a lot of care with her! She looked beautiful afterwards and more to the point was a very calm, happy pooch! I wouldn’t hesitate to take her back and would definitely recommend their services."

"First time at Dogwood for Monty, my field spaniel who typically causes quite a commotion! It smells like a spa when you walk in and he was the most calm I have ever seen him in a salon. With him being a rare and vulnerable native breed, its unusual to find a groomer who actually knows what they are, how delicate their single coat is (can't be clipped) and the breed standard cut.. it doesn't matter how much you explain, he would frequently come out looking like a jacked up cocker spaniel - pretty sure his pals took the Mick out of him. Holly was great.. she does other fieldies and took into consideration some tweaks like taking his feathers back much closer than usual (he and I have little patience for burrs!) He's usually scrambling to get out the door of a salon, but he was quite content and even let me take a photo! Looking forward to the next session... Monty will be taking his troublesome younger brother along!"
