"The staff are really nice. The breakfast was OK. The rooms are clean. BUT!! There is a charge that isn't mentioned when booking - they hold £50 from your account, incase you trash your room. And it's instantly taken from your account. And I don't know when I'll get it refunded. So the room was £118, not £68 as booked. So make sure you have that extra £50"

"We liked this hotel and it was a stopover on the way to Shetland. The staff and facilities were what we expected for a budget hotel and good. But it is currently being used as a refuge for Ukrainians. Many of us feel a great deal of sympathy for the Ukrainians but unfortunately we were next door to a two young kids who decided the corridor was a great place to practice on their scooters shrieking all the time. Whilst we understand kids need to let off steam this is not the behaviour we expect in a hotel and I think IHG should clearly advertise that the hotel is being used as a refuge for Ukrainians, then ppl can decide if they wish to stay."

"Well first of all they messed up the connecting rooms me and my disabled friend was meant to be in which was disappointing but it got sorted out, breakfast was great. Staff were okay but I didn't think they made you feel welcome and they did not even say thank you for staying and asked if we enjoyed our stay when we checked out, was just told they would sort out the check out and nothing else. The other issue we had was the key cards not working properly for the rooms, they would stop working randomly. My friends room didn't even have the telephone hooked up properly. So overall it was a good stay just those little bits that made it a bit rubbish. The staff could be more friendly and welcoming and at least smile. This is just what I experienced while I was there. The end."

"This to be fair is a city centre no frills place to stay and sleep. Breakfast was OK, however they kept running out of things, one day eggs, the next something else. They happened to have two schools staying which meant it was extremely noisy. The location for beach and town was good for us, 10 to 15 minutes walk to town. The staff very helpful and hard working."

"A pretty decent hotel! The room was clean enough and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was also very good! The only thing to note is that parking here is extremely limited. We found it easier to park in the multi-storey car park behind the hotel instead of fighting over parking spaces."
