"Ordered a 2 seater custom bespoke sofa. Delighted that I could use a local service. Paid deposit on 5th March which was half of the price of the sofa. Was told it would take around 8 weeks because of staffing issues. No problem! Weeks went by, the only time I received contact from them was when they were responding to my status queries - otherwise I don’t think they would have contacted me at all! Measurements were taken at the beginning of June! I was told I’d have my sofa two weeks after this. Still waiting today and no update from them. Just be honest, let the client know what’s happening with regular updates, don’t make promises you can’t keep and don’t wait for the customer to get annoyed."
