"The embassy has no clue on what basis they process Schengen visas. Getting appointment is a nightmare! And the visa period is based on pure Luck!! Not based on the documents you provide or the previous Schengen stamps you have held! They don’t care and just process to give you a minimum 3 months period with multiple entry! The whole Schengen visa processing has become pointless! Like why do need to check documents every 6months once or yearly once and have an in person appointment?? Lot of countries do not require biometric or personal documents if you apply within 5 years again!! Why can’t they have a renewal fee alone? What’s the point in verifying the birth certificate of a child every 6 month? Is there any point? The system is definitely stone aged. If Schengen visa processing continues to be like this, then non-EU s who require visa are definitely going to stop visiting Schengen zone one day. They will definitely start choosing countries that offer on arrival or e-visas. Just making people tired and sick of visas. Nothing else."
"I applied through vfs to austria embassy dublin. My experience with the embassy itself has been best. I would love to mention name of one person from embassy "Peter" who has been real help. He has been really considerate and kind. He helped me throughout and replied to all my queries. There were some problems with getting back my passport through vfs and he personally contacted vfs and updated me through out.. Its a 5/5 from my side.."
"Worst experience, one of the staff was kind of mean. Neither did they answer phone calls, nor replied to emails. On top of that, they don't allow anyone to come in."

"This is one of best embassy I have seen here in Dublin, In 2016 I apply for Swiss tourist visa through Austria embassy, First of all their appointment system is very convenient through online, On arrival at reception, the people are highly cooperative and process my visa very quickly without any hassle, On phone they are highly active and reply every query with detailed information. So I am very impressed with their service and recommend this embassy."
