"Kippure estate beautiful place to visit. Noticed the building happening which look like top end holiday units .The finish looks great, don't know about completion times though."
"My husband and I got married at Kippure Estate October of 2019. While we live in New York City, my husband is from Dublin, so we decided to get married in Ireland. I actually found Kippure from a Google search, and we ended up booking it without ever having visited. Once we were well into the planning, we were able to make a trip over to visit, and we were so relieved to see that the online version well represented what we found in real life. We were met by Martin, who showed us around the estate, including all of the options for having the ceremony, and then ran us through the typical flow of the day. We were very happy and looking forward to having all of our friends and family there, it was amazing that we had a venue that was gorgeous, but also that was able to accommodate everyone overnight, so no one had to worry about driving. It can be a little unnerving to plan a wedding across the ocean. I am by no means a planner, nor do I need to feel in control. However, there was some change in personnel throughout the planning and sometimes I felt a little afloat. Especially since we had about 60 Americans heading over, the coordination of the accommodation got a little tricky and I felt like that was the most stressful part of the whole thing. My never-ending emails hopefully were not too annoying for poor Anne in reception! Otherwise, I was super happy not to have to get bogged down in minutia, as details such as table settings, decorations, chairs, tablecloths etc are all taken care of by the venue. If I were more particular and detail oriented, I probably would have had a panic attack, as I really didn't know what to expect. For example, going into the weekend, I wasn't aware that part of the package included a table seating chart, and I had been hand writing place cards for two weeks! It was just some of those little things I wish were more clearly spelled out. Again, it could have been due to some shifting positions, but I do wish I hadn't wasted that time. The only criticism I had, as someone planning from afar, would to be a bit more organized with the layout of exactly what is taken care of by the venue, and what needs to be organized by the couple. It sometimes took a few days to get a response, and then I still wasn't clear on a few things, but hate to be pushy (I know, very un-American of me ;) On the weekend of the wedding, we met Cecylia, who was an absolute angel. She took everything into her very able hands, and from then on I knew that it would all be great! She made the whole day feel seamless, and we didn't have to worry about any of the behind-the-curtain details. We had about 60 American and 40 Irish attendees, and they all had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue, the food, and the staff. We would have our wedding here again in a heartbeat, and we know that we are just so lucky to have gotten married before the pandemic interrupted too many plans. We will cherish our memories there forever, and will visit again one day, *hopefully* soon!"
"I have been at Kippure Estate in 2014 and back again in 2019. It is great over There. The Wicklow Mountains are absolutely stunning. Beautiful nature over there. The service at Kippure is also great. So why 3 stars instead of 5? The time stood still in 5 years, the beds in the house were still as terrible as back then. The appartments could definitely use a restyle / some new Paint / new beds etc"
"To the team at Kippure, Myself and Marcus had our wedding there on the 3rd of June and to this day, I am still blown away by the day. Everything went perfectly and Jenny is beyond a superstar and made the day everything I wanted it to be and I had imagined. She used every decoration I brought up and everything found it's place. Thanks to Sarah too as everytime I went up to the marque, she was working away too and was so friendly to deal with. The food was stunning throughout the whole weekend and the breakfast in the mornings really helped the heads! Everyone that came to the wedding complimented the food and the staff and how helpful everyone were throughout the whole weekend. Thanks to Cary for all the planning up till the day and to the staff at reception for dealing with all our crazy guests! I couldn't recommend Kippure enough if you are looking for a relazed wedding in a beautiful setting with tasty food. Love from Alex & Marcus"
