"Enjoyed an excellent sunday roast. Good quality, very tasty. Efficient and friendly service from all the staff we spoke to. A few pounds dearer than comparable local roast lunches but that is the premium you pay for the Salcombe location. Recommended nevertheless. The photo shows apricot and chestnut roast (foreground) and roast beef. All seven vegetables were perfectly cooked. Staff were aware of the differences between vegan/vegetarian and asked us when we ordered."

"Lovely covered garden, fresh fish, friendly staff. We came here for lunch and it was a great choice. Firstly the staff helped us get up to the garden via the step free side entrance, we were then able to enjoy the really nice covered garden area with our baby and dog in tow. I had the fish and chips, and I think it was the freshest fish I've ever had, so highly recommended from me. The menu was pretty standard pub food, but no issue with that when it's done to a good standard. Drinks wise there were good ales. Definitely worth stopping by here is your visiting the town."
