"I couldn't recommend this vet highly enough. They saved my dogs life through quick diagnosis and early aggressive treatment of a rare zoonotic virus, which we discovered while on holiday. Thanks to vet Dan and the incredible nursing team for their superb care throughout his time with them. 5*!"
"I have been with this vets for a number of years now, my main complaint is the staff shortage issues both with reception and vets. My dog has monthly injections for allergies but last month was unable to have it as she had a cough. I had an appointment 3.40 today and was initially seen by a nurse. As my dog is still not well the nurse said I needed to see the vet but as I was booked to see the nurse, something I was not aware of as normally I see a vet, I would have to wait. ! There was one vet on duty and one receptionist and a large number of clients waiting. 25 minutes later the vet walked past me and went to get another client. When I asked when I might be seen I was told she was the only vet on duty ,my appointment was with the nurse and I would be fitted in when able.! If this is the system Head and Head are employing using nurses instead of vets they need to make it clear this is the case when appointments are made. I also hope that if we are not seeing vets then this will be reflected in our bills."
"We were on holiday last week when our dogs ear suddenly swelled and just wouldn't stop. I rang Head & Head who calmed me down and told me to go straight down. The vet came and got us from the car park for our appointment. Our dog is usually very timid and stand offish with new people but Abby put her at ease straight away and even got a kiss or two. Abby had a look under the microscope at the ear infection and told us it was quite severe. We were given 3 lots of medication and told to go straight back at any point in our holiday of We had any concerns. The staff of reception were lovely and generally interested in us and where we were from. I expected a huge bill but I was very very pleasantly surprised, it cost a fraction of the price I had imagined. Head & Head have rang me today to ask for permission to speak to our own vet and again they wanted to know how Caya was doing and if she managed to enjoy the rest of the holiday. Really really lmpressed with the level of service we received and we will not hesitate to use this vets on our holidays in future. If you could open a branch in Wigan that would be amazing haha. Keep up the good work and thank you for making my fur baby better."
"Took our rescue poochie here as we’d just moved house and we needed to get her seen by a vet. The vets themselves and assisting staff were wonderful, very knowledgable and friendly and gentle with our rescue bait dog who can get quite scared because of the torture she was put throu. The vets even offered us to leave out the side door so not to cause any unnecessary stress on her. Reception staff need a bit more training and manners but the vets themselves are great! Do be warned of the overly hot reception area where dogs have to wait by a huge warm window with no water."
