"Really disappointed with PEEQ sports and how they treat their customers. My partner bought a coat from PEEQ as a present. In the awful circumstances at present - working on a covid ward, caught covid and was unable to try the coat on due to self isolation. In addition to the numerous bank holidays we were unable to return within the strict 14 day policy. Called to explain these extenuating circumstances and that my other half had saved up to buy this coat, but sadly, as it was too big we couldn't justify keeping it. I asked if a gesture of good will regarding a refund could be given in this case, especially as we were only a few days over the return date. There is disparity between staff and whether or not exchanges are allowed and what day it should have been sent back by. The owner was very unsympathetic and had a unfriendly manner. She informed me that they wouldn't even accept an exchange, despite being told by another member of staff that we could indeed have an exchange. She explained that they would make a loss if I sent the coat back. So I then asked if I exchanged for another product (although we did not really have anything in mind) would they resell the coat, but the owner refused to answer my question. Really upsetting and disappointing as we always try to buy from independents. But in all honesty, now I can see... when they have such poor returns policies and dreadful customer service why we shouldn’t have. Really sad, I truly hope no other customers fall foul to this in future, especially during such trying times. A little goodwill goes a long way - everyone is struggling! Thank you for your reply below. But unfortunately I was told on the phonecall with the manager that day… that My partner shouldn’t have been offered an exchange when he called, and after me explaining our extenuating circumstances at the end of the call I was told there was nothing you could do. So if that’s your basis of being fair, that unfortunately wasn’t even the case. I understand that you’re a small business and is the reason we bought from you in the first place. But we didn’t expect to be treated the way we were."
