"The staff are extremely rude and invasive, they give you 0 notice before entering and will make you uncomfortable. The wifi is shocking, lived there for a year and they never fixed it despite saying they would. They lose your parcels too. Lucky I’m stubborn so nagged them about it every day. They also allow other tenants to harass/stalk (and worse) other residents and don’t care at all. The place is infested with silverfish. All they’re saying is people didn’t live there, why would some random person do a bad review for somewhere they’re never lived? If you respond with this I’ll email you myself. Probably the weird old guy that stared at my mum while she helped me move in writing the responses. Love that someone said Dan’s slimy because he absolutely is."
"Not a good place to live at all. Tons of noise coming from the neighbors. Company charged me for making a call after hours to come over, but once I resolved the issue myself, they still charged me, even though they didn't come over to help. Receptionists are very rude too, just seem like bitter people. Management is awful. They'll charge for internet too. In which the internet would go out for hours some days of the week and get resolved later in the day, including hours before the deadline of an exam or assignment (which I had to go to the library at 1am to submit because the internet wasn't working till the next morning). Highly AVOID unless you want more stress at university."
"I spent 3 of my 4 years at Plymouth in CPT. Very happy with the flat, whenever I had a problem with the appliances they were fixed that day or the very next day. The fingerprint system to the main door was a good addition and I felt increased level of security. Its just behind the railway station which is convenient when going home for Christmas, Easter etc and it is not far from the university and main town about a 10 minute walk. Even though you live in your own space there is a common room where you can meet people and they did have a few events in there around freshers week. Would highly recommend this place to everyone."
"My daughter left Central Park Towers in June 2014 after being a resident for four years. I have to say that from the first contact in relation to getting a flat to the check out process at the end of the four years the whole experience was nothing but positive. Despite being my daughters first occasion of any real time away from home which was 120 miles away she felt safe secure and happy from the beginning. Not once did she have problems with noisy neighbours or loud parties which can be an obvious problem with student accommodation. The fact the access to the building was restricted was a big plus and the onsite security just added to the feeling of being safe. This was a big influencing factor for us as parents whilst looking for accommodation. The fact it was in walking distance to the Uni was another bonus. Most of our dealings have been with the Landlord Nigel Brown who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. At the end of the third year due to an oversight by myself the flat our daughter was in was let to somebody else. Again Nigel came to our aid and found us another flat in the same block which was larger than her original flat and even though prices had increased we continued to pay the same fee for the whole four years. When we did have a small issue with the billing Nigel again sorted the problem immediately and was full of apologies. I am sure there is cheaper accommodation in Plymouth but I think you will find it very hard to get anywhere near the service we have had over the last four years. In short if you are fortunate enough to be offered a flat in this property take it with the knowledge your son or daughter will be safe and secure and will be free to concentrate on their studies."
"This is high quality accommodation provided by a genuine, caring land lord. As a mature student I wanted my own space, including the facilities to cook. This was what initially attracted me to this property. The rent was within my budget especially as the internet and water bill were already included in the price. The only bill separate to the rent was electric which for my room operated on a key system so that I could easily keep track of my spending. The efficiency of the room had been improved before I moved in with the installation of low wattage lighting, as well as a dimming switch in the living space. This not only meant my electric bill was lessened, but also allowed me to relax easier after studying by softening the lighting. The room had all the appliances I needed (cooker, oven, fridge with freezer) as well as as washer dryer that saved me from wasting valuable time at a laundromat or in a communal washing room. It also gave me the peace of mind knowing the appliances would always be working when I needed them. I also was encouraged by the helpfulness of the land lord, Nigel Brown. When I first moved in, my Student Finance payments were out of line with the normal schedule. This meant I didn't have all of the funds available for the first payment date. Nigel was flexible and personally tailored my payment schedule to allow me to move in and complete the payment once my finances had arrived. Nigel kept in contact regularly and encouraged me to let him know of any issues I had with the room. My time in this room was pleasurable and I would recommend it highly."
