"We stayed here for my son's 13th birthday. This is not a child friendly camping ground. They Complained about my son laughing and talking loudly and told off my 7 year old daughter and made her cry for leaving her bike by the toilets. The very rood lady didn't welcome us and made us feel awkward. The location is fantastic The faculty's are clean but cramped"
"We were supposed to stay two nights in one of the pods but that never happened. We arrived late at night and there was no one there to welcome us, even if we called before to let them know we will be arriving around 11pm. We called, and a sleepy, rude voice told us to find the pod ourselves. The pod was not clean, full of spider webs (hadn't been used/cleaned for a while) and, of course, full of huge spiders. We couldn't sleep there so we decided to leave. We were lucky enough to find a hotel nearby and when we called the camping on the next morning (we did not call in the middle of the night out of respect), that same rude voice, -we believe from the owner-, told us that we arrived late, that she didn't care and hang up the phone!! We tried to negotiate the refund as the pod was not in good condition but we never got any money back (not even for the second night). They were not helpful at all, quite rude and aggressive and we will never be going back there."
"We stayed in the new Safari galmping pitch and absolutely loved it. Kitted out with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. The safari tents have been finished to a very high standard. The main living area has a beautiful log burner to keep you warm in chilly nights, a comfortable lounge corner and fully equiped kitchenette. The tent has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds, making this ideal for family getaways. The beds all have electric blankets to ensure you go to bed cosy and warm. We slept perfectly! The bathroom has a large modern shower with plentiful hot water. Towels were provided for our stay. We are great fans of dog friendly places to stay and this complex allows each party to bring up to 2 dogs, so our whole family could enjoy the stay, fur and all! The safari tents also have an outdoor seating area on the decking and a BBQ area on the grass, overlooked by a private wood fired hot tub! All of this is situated on a working farm, meaning you may be greeted by the fabulous peacock, guinea fowl, sheep, hens and of course a magnificent cockerel! The farm and site is run buy the loveliest family, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. This is the kind of place you arrive as a guest, leave as a friend and come back as family. We will be back for sure! And we'd recommend this place to everyone, whether that's for a family get away, romantic break or base for countryside adventures."
"Beautiful secluded getaway on an historic farm. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. Clean toilets Hot showers Town less than ten minutes drive away Good WiFi Perfect. I'll be back."
"If you're looking for good basic camping, this place is great! Good facilities for washing up, toilets & showers always clean. On a working farm on the edge of the Moor, good location for walks and exploring the surrounding area. Very peaceful, pods located in a secluded area away from camping field. Basic but essentially camping without a tent. Porch area with table/chairs. Bbq and fire pits allowed. Beds with mattresses are OK, for a few nights sleep. Tent area is spacious, pitch where you like but is on a slope. Host Julie was lovely, gave us lots of information and was available to call if needed."
