"Great lunch stop after a walk on Dartmoor. Allows dog in bar area, food good off a short but well thought out menu. Great bar area comfortable and warm. Good selection of local beers and Gins plus some low alcohol options. And very good service from friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended."
"Visited Wed 22nd Feb, staff were nice & helpful, meals were stunning, so good forgot to take a picture, we tried the corn dog starter nice and perfectly cooked. If you’ve not tried this hidden gem suggest you do. Will visit next time were down this way."
"Can't comment on the rooms, have only visited for food and drinks. It's very picturesque, being situated right next to the river Dart. A good choice of food and drinks on offer. It also has outdoor seating which is very popular in the summer months. They don't serve food all day , especially out of season, so it would be wise to ring up beforehand and check. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Well worth a visit."
"Popped in for lunch. Lunchtime menu not extensive but will cater for most tastes. Very generous portions and well cooked and presented. Get there early as it became quite busy later on. Definitely would return. Nice place on the banks of the Dart."
"We spent two nights there this week, bed and breakfast. We stayed in the DART room. Very nice with great views of the river Dart. Plus side. Lovely friendly and helpful evening waitress/bar staff. Down side. The evening meals were okay, but lacked imagination. It would appear that they were trying to justify their prices by packing out the meal with potatoes/chips. The breakfasts were okay if you wanted the full English, variations of. But the attitude if the waitress was dreadful and she was a little scruffy. My wife didn't want a cooked meal on the second morning and asked if she could have 2 Croissants. She was told that you aren't allowed 2, only 1. That, I find was insulting as we were paying guests. That means that you do not get your monies worth, if you don't have a cooked breakfast which I find a real cheat. There was no fresh fruit on the table. We would never go again, which is sad as the pub itself was very good."
