"2020/21 update: They are now doing physio over the phone. That is just not possible for helping someone prep for surgery (if you read below I finally got that MRI I was told I would never get) by doing physio over the phone, I just never bothered with it. I have however been doing my own physio and despite being in lots of pain daily have lost a lot of weight that I gained due to mobility issues and hypothyroidism which went untreated for almost half a decade causing me to almost double in weight even when eating two small hot meals a day. Physio over the phone is useless as you can't see progress so I didn't bother phoning back to confirm with them instead I spend 30+ minutes on a rowing machine daily despite the pain in the hopes they'll fix the torn ligaments I have. Private physiotherapsists were (and still are) seeing patients. You just can't do physio over the phone unless the NHS are willing to send out exercise equipment to patients (never gonna happen) and stay on the phone for the duration of an appointment in a video call (again, never gonna happen). To the 20 minute wait on hold before I gave up even though the call was simply to confirm an appointment date and time to the physiotherapist who seems to get pleasure out of causing you pain (ie does tests that he's done before which have no real purpose other than to confirm what I'm saying and to the fact that he assured me the fact I wouldn't be able to get a knee MRI wasn't a funding issue, multiple times, even stating that going private would not get me said MRI (which is an obvious lie, private will do an MRI if you pay for said MRI) all through my appointment he stated that there were no funding issues, when asked if he had any Theraband (which they had five years ago), which is a rubber resistance band designed to give resistance to exercise he instead told me to "simply tie a bag of sugar around your ankle", (what next; bloodletting?) and that they had never used Theraband (which is another lie, they had it 5 years ago), he even wore a badge which read "registered physiotherapist"; I would expect any medical institution to use registered physios and not some personal trainer they hired from a gym, I guess he wore it incase he forgot that he was a "registered physiotherapist", the worst of it; while he convinced me the NHS had no funding issues the news came on the radio they had, stating that England had to "lend 40 million to help fund pur NHS system, though due to it being so underfunded that 40m wouldn't last long and is only temporary aid"; I simply hate it when medical "professionals" lie through their teeth. Meanwhile I'm stuck buying theraband off eBay rather than dangling sugar from my ankle while I do the exercises. I would say AVOID but it's the NHS, you can't pick and choose."
"The family planning at this Clinic is terrible! i waited almost 3hrs for family planning and i had already been seen at this clinic before. The staff are dreadful. Upon asking why i had been waiting so long i was told i would be seen, 2 Hours later they told me my file had been misplaced! i had my 1 year old with me who was ill! when i complained i was told O we have a new girl on! i will never ever be back at this clinic!"
"I must agree with poster of most recent review I found nothing at all to complain about. Okay so there's some waiting to do but that's surely expected anyway we always wait in hospitals and doctor surgeries so nothing there to write home about. My doctor whom I saw before somewhere else is a lovely woman very informative and extremely friendly and helpful also the doctor's accompanying nurse was very nice indeed. I dont need another appointment but i surely wouldn't be reluctant to return. It gets my thumbs up all around."
"I have no idea why so many people have left negative feedback as it was my first time today and every single person who worked in the centre were absolutely lovely people. When I read the reviews I was exually pancaking about going but couldn’t fault any member of staff. Made me feel so much better. All I can say is Thank You to every person who worked today and to those who treated me also."
"Not even 1 star. After waiting 1.5 hours told to come back in April. Seems to be family planning on their terms. Quite happy to offer the pill after wanting the implant. What is the point of this clinic, is it just to hand out the pill. Wasn't even given a decision whether implant would be done or if its another useless appointment. Looks like private health care is the way forward."
