Reviews
"A small theatre but very comfortable. The show was engrossing and emotional at the end. Watched the Bee Keeper from Aleppo which we thoroughly enjoyed. Acting superb."
"The playhouse is a stunning theatre that deserves more praise than it gets for the venue of its size. Featuring a really diverse lineup of productions throughout the year, it's always a pleasure to see shows here. The only thing that I can really put as a negative is the parking as there isn't much nearby if you want to be close to the theatre itself, there's a strip right outside and a few side streets but it can get very busy understandably. Price wise tickets are competitive and the staff are all friendly and welcoming, can't fault it really. The only reason I've marked it down slightly is the parking, otherwise it's fab!"
"Went to see Al Murray at the playhouse. Venue is excellent. Very clean, comfortable seats, good views of the stage. Bar staff and ushers were all very friendly and helpful. Would be happy to return again."
"Lovely venue, had a real close feel about it. The play we watched was excellent, our view of the stage from the circle (upper tier) and audibility were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable!"
"First visit to the theatre and found it to be a very enjoyable one. Our tickets were for the upstairs seating and it was a great view. The sound was excellent, the lighting was excellent and the play was excellent. Looking forward to booking another visit as soon as there is something of interest."
