"I would highly recommend Airedale vets. Peter has always treated my pets over the last 20 years with dignity and care."
"I rung these vets as I had used them in the past. My 12 year old cat had a cancer tumor on his ear, that was bleeding and growing each week. After weeks of crying the family decided it was his time to go. Although he was still the same cat, eating, drinking, playing and going out. We told the receptionist the situation. I fully understand that I had booked Mackenzie to be pts, however the way in which it was conducted was an absolute outrage. As soon as we walked in the room the box and needle was out. No conversation or questions asked, no checking over my cat. I wanted my boy to feel at ease and us. We were told to hold his shoulders, he was a big soft cat and I wanted to hold and comfort him, instead he was held and needelled within seconds. We were in shock how fast he was gone, I wanted him checked over with a stethoscope to see if his heart had stopped we were told it had and the rest of needle would ensure it. Peter may have thought the quicker the better, but surely you should treat the animal and it's very upset owners with empathy? I was heartbroken, Peter the vet didn't want to know, no compassion at all no care, or just some words to help me think that I was making the right decision. Just some moments with him, sitting comfortably and not telling me his heart had stopped and rest of needle will ensure it. We just walked out the door. I spent hours with my Mackenzie holding him, thinking he may wake as I could not let go until I knew he was really gone. It was a heartless way to treat your clients. Oh and his bit of advice was dig the hole deep!"
"I am not registered with this practice,I am not a pet owner.I called them on the off chance but not really expecting any help for a very poorly wild bird I had overnight. For those saying this practice is all about the money,I couldn't disagree more.Unfortunately the bird had to be put to sleep,I wasn't charged,I offered a donation which they didn't accept for themselves but instead referred me to a local animal charity 'pink paws'.I would also like to mention that when I arrived this morning before opening there was a chap infront of me waiting outside that had been given (in passing) a fledgling that had fallen from the nest, this bird was not euthanized and I assume the practice will know of someone that can care for this chick. From what I have experienced and witnessed, this practice goes above and beyond,I have been humbled by the generosity, kindness and compassion of this amazing team."
"I took my dog for a health check whilst she was pregnant with her first litter, she was around 10 days from giving birth, everything was fine prior she was doing really well, the vet asked for her to be put on the table and shaved her tummy to do a scan. Bare in mind the dog weighs 45-50kg and was loaded with 11 puppies.. The day after she miscarried. we called the vet to get some help maybe a caesarean, or at least a shot of hormones so she could give birth properly. The vet wasn't interested and offered no assistance. Because she miscarried she had no contractions so the puppies were just coming out dead once she had moved. 10/11 died shortly after or were dead on arrival the whole process was 16-18hr of carnage. The survivor My poor puppy Elsa was seriously Ill, born premature, bottle fed for the most part as her mum had very little milk. She had to be put to sleep. Instead of doing a basic urine sample right away which would have highlighted her failing kidney and liver issues immediately (due to her being premature), 5 weeks dragged on with expensive blood tests and antibiotics. So much unnecessary suffering and trauma for the poor little girl. £2000 later the puppy was put to sleep after a 10 minute assessment with a real vet. This guy is useless, out of touch and out to milk cash. you've been warned."
"Took our retriever with suspected stomach upset. The vet Della was excellent; so good with our dog, friendly and knowledgeable. Melanie was good too. Good experience - will use again."
