"Absolutely spot on for the price, bar man was the kindest most friendly welcoming guy you can ask for, nothing was to much he went above and beyond to make sure you where catered for from the minute you got there until the moment you left. If your in the area and don't even require a room for the night just pop in for a quick refreshment."
"First the positive: The room was nice and big, overall seemed pretty clean. We had a big TV that worked well. The staff were pretty friendly. The area itself is quite run down. It’s a noisy busy street, during the day but also at night, but that’s often a problem with town pubs. Now the negative : Let’s put it this way, did I feel safe? Not really. But did anything bad happen? No. The first day we arrived there was a strong smell of “illegal substances” in the hall way. Probably one of the other guests. The second night we stayed was karaoke night. Be warned, they go hard and they sing loud. If you don’t mind the noise, the slightly dirty bathroom and the possibility of coming in contact with slightly odd guests, then this place really isn’t that bad. Maybe don’t bring your kids… There’s a small place to park behind which could get a bit cramped, but it’s better than parking on the street."
"Brilliant pub where you can have a great night, karaoke is brilliant and staff are really friendly and very helpful. If you want a great night out and you like to have a sing then look no further than kings head hotel Keighley."
"Booked this with a female friend, both of us in our early 20s. Left without staying the night and booked into the local Travelodge. Everything about it felt unsafe and creepy. When we arrived the bar was full of older men who stared, and the woman who worked there commented to one of them "THEY'RE staying here tonight," in a certain tone of voice, giving implications I really didn't like. Had an encounter upstairs in the accomodation too with a man knocking on our door aggressively after I accidentally tried his door when I'd been looking for the shared kitchen. I'm not particular about where I sleep and I've slept in places that looked far worse, but I didn't feel safe staying here."
"If I could rate 0stars I would Stay,. We didn't booked this place the night before we arrived as we needed a place to return to after visiting goit stock waterfall Somewhere we could get showered and warm after we had swum This was not the place When we arrived I saw the frontage and thought ok maybe it just needs a paint outside and will be better inside I was wrong so so wrong The bar area down stairs made me cringe Then when we went to the room I wanted to cry the room door came loose of the hinge when my husband opened the door The wardrobe looked like it would fall apart when it was opened The bedding was stained with god knows what on the under side, the part that would have touched my skin The mattress was also well past being due to be thrown out and highly stained If it wasn't for the extra sheets they used to try and hide the state of the mattress I think it would have walked itself out The bathroom I only veiwed for a second but tiles missing and not sure what was on the floor next to the toilet We didn't stay, we left to find something to eat and contemplate sleeping under a tree with the towels we had brought with us We were lucky enough to be directed to the local Travelodge by the owner of the restaurant we ate in that guy was a life saver When we returned to collect our bags tooce to the Travelodge as we went up the stairs A male in the bar area saw us going upstairs and shouts to his freinds 'oh look we can knock them up later tonight' Needless to say I do not recommend this place to anyone book the Travelodge on the other side of town or anywhere else just not here"
