"Great place to live but not worth the high rent and issues, some quite serious. You pay for amenities and the bragging rights. You have no real control over your bills and the standing charge for the heating and cooling system is £60 a month. If you use it marginally you're looking at £100 a month. Our letting agent wasn't aware of this cost before we moved in so it was a nasty surprise. The winter garden is pretty much useless. There's no plugs so you have to run an extension line and leave the door open. It's freezing at night and a green house when the sun is out. Single glass windows and large vents means the noise from the train tracks is loud. If your flat is high up the view is incredible though. You'll never tire of that. There's a serious issue of parcels getting stolen. Deliveries leave packages either in the foyer or outside your front door without knocking. You can instruct them to deliver to concierge but they don't always listen. This happens with food deliveries too. The expensive heating and cooling system often breaks. Especially in the summer when the flat becomes a hot box. The taps constantly get blocked due to the heavy limescale. Soaking the tap heads in limescale remover is a monthly task. Gym is great. Has everything you need and the gym staff are brilliant. Down side is it's tiny! Think hotel gym that plays coffee shop music. Other residents are generally really friendly and there is a sense of community here."
"Easy access - a place to relax - with a FANTASTIC view from the beautifully decorated Coaling Jetty. Wonderful!"
"Went with friends yesterday, enjoyed drinks in Fiume, then Tapas next door, all delicious but a bit pricey. Vagabond was great for after dinner drinks, particular thanks to the brilliant Hannah, who tried to get us a taxi to train station. Downside it is difficult to get back to trains after 10 pm, shuttle bus stops then. We will definitely be back in the better weather, to enjoy the view of the river from the bars and restaurants. The old parts of the power station look like they are having an amazing transformation. Well done to the developers for keeping the authenticity and contrasting with very modern, will look stunning."
"Visit for a weekend in March 2018, staying in a two-bed flat with relatives. I might have given it a bit higher rating, but there's lots doesn't work. Like the entry system so there's 24 hour guards opening and closing the doors. The work on the Power Station was relentless. Access isn't great by road (pier for the water bus which I took several times as it was groovy). It didn't seem nery diverse either (residents I saw that is). They claim it's a "village". What it really is is expensive. In my country-liivng opinion. And maybe it'll be fantastic when it's finished - but there's a swathe of development Thames-side and none of it looks joined-up to me. But all the units are renetd as they come to Market, so what do I know? Well I know there's a market for everything. I'm not a likley buyer. But I'm not a millenial, or generation Y. Or a Russian Oligarch. Or very much a lover of London. If you like this stuff you'll love it. Crave it, YEarn to live there. Be jealous of those that do. I was quite glad when I got the train back to sanity, 400 miles away. But you might covet it."
"Restaurant No. 29.... Amazing space internally, which belies the less appealing external appearance. Good wine list, delicious Montrachet, but don't get your hopes up on a second bottle, unless you are prepared to wait for it being chilled for 30mins before serving - suggests that bar management is lacking. Food was average, at best, according to my guests, as I unfortunately didn't get to experience the cuisine. A way overcooked rotisserie chicken, sent back to the kitchen, was replaced, after 30mins, with an unappealing overcooked bavette (the simplest of dishes to prepare at home)! I gave up on the food, you know when it's been too long, and appetite is lost. So my advice: enjoy the music, and order the second bottle on arrival so when needed the Montrachet will be adequately chilled. Or go for a cocktail (list looks good), or a glass of something else. I would've loved to offer constructive advice to manageKent, as new local places deserve every opportunity to thrive.... But don't expect to see a manger, or people that are involved in the business to add any joy or pleasure to your evening...."
