"My kids were able to go for free with their WAND cards. They had a great time on the playground and occasionally looked at an animal. We got there late in the day so the animal feedings were all over but we will definitely be back. There is an old fire engine and old helicopter that the kids can go in. A chalkboard room. Some pirate ships that you can steer around a little lake for £1. A large sandpit and lots of playground equipment."
"I am bias with zoos so definitely bare that in mind! The zoo was very small, which was quite sad to see as the park itself is massive and I would have thought the zoo would be bigger. I dunno really what I expected, if it is realistic or not but I thought maybe those at the animals would interact and talk about them. But I feel that isn't reality. The reptile house was infact not a house, more like a walk way with very small enclosures for the reptiles/amphibians either side of you. We did visit on a very hot day so I understand not many animals were there, which is totally fine. It had play apparatuses all through, which is wonderful for the kids. All in all really I'd say not great, very sad even. However for young little ones it is exiting. I liked how there were seating picnic areas too, so it wasn't like you had to trek with hungry children until you got somewhere and could just fuel them up and carry on. So getting the tickets were great, you get a month to use them and don't have to book in advance a slot so no rush whilst getting into London on a time frame. We had no issues getting in even with a disability and carer tickets, I had the docs ready but weren't needed. The staff you could see were working very hard and in such high temperatures."
"Great little zoo to see a range of small animals and farm animals. Best time to go on the weekend is mid morning to early afternoon. They have toilets and a cafe that sells sandwiches, ice creams, drinks and small snacks. If you have small children with you or babies, I suggest bringing food as they may not have healthy food suitable for young children and babies. The electric remote boats do not work so do not waste your coins. The electric water gun is fab. The playground, fire engine, helicopter and sandpit is fab. We saw lots of little animals monkeys, wild cats, armadillo, meerkats, bunnies, ducks etc. They also have a great range of farm animals and a reptile house with snakes, spiders etc. Closest entrance is Chelsea Bridge Gate."
"Great family day out, small zoo but lots for kids to do. Ideal for autism/SEN families due to it not being too large. Nice variety of small animals. Really good play area too."
"Nice little zoo in the middle of London. Great place to spend a morning or afternoon with the kids. Nice enclosures with animals that all look well looked after, healthy and have enough living space. Also a big playground with swings, sandbox etc. And they sell coffee and ice cream, what else do you need!"
