"I would definitely recommend coming here if you are visiting London. My partner and I had visited here while we were on holiday to London. We booked online which was easy to do as the site took you through what to do step by step and our tickets were available instantly. I would definitely recommend to plan at least 4 1/2 hours for this trip as there is so much to see. We thought it would be a short trip as it looked quite small on the map so we planned to go to a museum but we were met with a great surprise when we finished 4 hours later. So take your time and look at everything there is to offer."
"Great fun with the kids. Well maintained. Interesting keeper talks on the conservation efforts. Places where you can walk in with the animals are fun. Walking distance aling the canals from Camden market"
"I went for the twighlight event which was so lovely, usually I come to the zoo with my daughter but it was great to experience the zoo as an adult as the facts about the animals were a little more age appropriate. There were many pop up areas and the decor was lovely to see. There were areas to sit and relax and enjoy your food and drinks too. Only thing I was gutted about was not seeing the tigers and gorillas but it is what it is. I managed to see everything else and learn some new facts too."
"I’m really saddened to say I found this zoo underwhelming. Whilst I understand little renovations were going on, and we got there when they opened so most of the animals were asleep. Not enough signs to point you to certain places, and the only way you got a map was from the guide book. Everyone barges past you when you’re trying to see the animals, so be prepared to be shunted from pillar to post. Hired a wheelchair for my fiancé as he has mobility issues but this place is NOT wheelchair friendly at all in my opinion. The hills are far too steep for wheelchairs, plus not a lot of the doors were automatic. Overpriced to go in, yet found the gift shop at the exit and the terrace restaurant not too badly priced. I’ve given it three stars purely for the fact that when emailing ZSL they were quick to reply, and the staff at the zoo were really friendly too. It’s not an ideal place to go if you suffer from anxiety as I discovered. Won’t be returning. Keep up the good work though ZSL ❤️"
"My partner and I had a wonderful day at London Zoo. We booked in advance online, which was easy. We managed to see all of the animals as the zoo layout was easy to navigate and there was plenty of signposts. My partner and I were also fortunate enough to take part in the penguin experience. Sonia led the session brilliantly and was very informative. We were able to stroke some of the more confident penguins and learn about all the different personalities. It was extremely worth it. Do not rush your visit and take your time to truly understand the great conservation work this zoo is doing. Seeing a lot of these animals is a blessing considering so many face a degree of extinction. I think it's also important to understand that at times there is general maintenance and improvements to the zoo and therefore some exhibits are not always available. Our visit was off-peak (weekday), meaning there was a comfortable amount of people around. The cafe was well stocked with a variety of tasty food; the coffees available were pretty good (take your own takeaway cup). The toilet areas were kept very clean. Date of experience: October 2021"
