"If you don't mind, I'll start my review backwards. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude with a huge thank you to the surgery management who was top ten with my situation. Was a single phone call, enough to have a concerned team giving me medical assistance. So again THANK YOU so much. Normal the situation, yes without a doubt, but let me tell you: 1. This wasn't my GP. 2. Nothing more, nothing less was asked to a surgery doctor then advise to put me in the right direction for assistance. 3. This had been done by a relative (not by myself) at the end of his telephone consultation. 4. The doctor's care and concern was then tireless, not stopping until I was given assistance. With this, I received medical assistance in your surgery, which today is my GP as it could not fail to be. Apart from the telephone call at 11:30, at 03:00 pm was being answered, cared for and medicated. I had been trying for more than 4 months to make an appointment, both at my doctor and in a hospital, never being seen as an urgent case. Today I am aware and I know what had happened to me; insect bite slowly caused me a blood poisoning... maybe today I wasn't doing this review if I wasn't lucky enough to find this wonderful and efficient team that I found in St. Johns Way Medical Centre. Without a doubt I just have to say that I don't know any surgery with such excellent care and medical assistance and I know a lot due to my line of work. I’m blessed by being patient at St Johns Medical Center. You are the best!! Thank you for everything you have done for my well-being. Again a big THANK YOU for your good work. Ana"
"This is the best GP practice I have ever used. The staff are always helpful and the GP’s committed and supportive. They are great for the whole family - and have supported us through the highs and lows of our children growing up. It is great to have such a dedicated practice and people. Thank St John’s!!!"
"I’ve been with this practice since I was born. Throughout the years there have been some amazing GP’s most of which have left but the care & service has really gone down hill. I appreciate the NHS is under immense pressure but this does not excuse lack of care for patients & rudeness from the reception staff & GP’s. There are a few receptionist & GP’s who are still working at the surgery who are always amazing but I have witnessed some really abrupt behaviour. I’m also baffled by the mask rule & St. John’s way appears to be one of the very few places that still require masks to be worn. When seeing a GP & discussing personal matters, you at least want to be able to see their face. Especially if you’re all triple vaccinated! I must say this surgery has really gone down hill since covid & that’s a real shame, because like I say I have been attending the surgery since 1986."
"I have to say that i have read many reviews here about rude staff etc and i couldn't disagree more ! Both times i have called up recently the receptionists/triage staff have been amazing, so unbelievably friendly, respectful and efficient. I wish i knew the name of the man who i spoke to on the phone when i called up the other day but he is a credit to the NHS. As I am suffering some heart complications his friendly manner put me at ease straight away so I can't thank him enough ! In these pressing times on the NHS i would be satisfied with efficiency alone but these people go the extra mile to be kind and caring which although is not hard, means a lot when you are not well so thank you!"
