"Lovely hotel on the whole. On arrival we didn't know what to expect as the carpet on the stairs outside, leading up to the entrance was filthy. And it wasn't raining. Staff were lovely. Cocktails were standard. Toilets were beautiful. Room really nice, beds super comfy and location great. However, there was an awful smell on the landing. On departure we found an expensive watch in our room, (203) so if you stayed on the 21/2/23, contact the hotel... they have your watch, which we handed in."
"Went to the hotel today with my partner for a spot of afternoon tea. Bought through a partnered website at a brilliant price. Upon arrival I was blown away by the entrance before even walking in. The steps lead you to a big set of double doors which looked very welcoming. Entering in to a somewhat darker setting, which set a very relaxed mood. The Everton memorabilia blew me away as a Evertonian. It resembled a museum of fantastic times far gone by. The bar man greeted us with a smile and sent us to our seating area. From there another well manner helpful gentleman guided us to our seat and offered us tea and coffee. I got the feeling he could not do enough. The afternoon tea was fantastic, and the apple sauce sausage roll, along with the scones were a personal favourite. Not quite sure about the mini milkshake. Would say it was an acquired taste. Again, staff were superb, and the seating was extremely comfortable. Reason for the 4*s is due to the fact I would have liked to be offered another hot drink, as cups were quite small. However, I would defiantly advise visiting. Thank you for the hospitality."
"We have stayed here twice now in three weeks. The first visit was for our anniversary and they couldn't do enough for us. We had a celebration platter in our room upon us arriving. The food in the restaurant was out of this work. Really good quality. The chef is very talented. All the staff were very friendly. April, mayga & Melanie's customer service went up and beyond for us. Our 2nd stay we brought our teenagers, we had an issue with our room (the room was still amazing) and they fixed it straight away and we're genuine. The kids loved it as much as we do. The hotel it's self had been done to a high standard and the rooms are just breath taking and reasonably priced. Return and book direct you get a returning discount on your room. Location is just right. By the caverns or museum. Lots to do near by. Highly recommend this hotel and Liverpool"
"As soon as we stepped into the hotel the staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was fantastic and couldn't fault the food. A thoroughly great experience. Want to stay at the Dixie again."
